As per what Wanaj0 mentioned earlier about Chams essentially alloting/selling a chunk to UBA Global who have sold some, hoarded some and wished to poach some from the other issuing houses is all very true. But those that are in will smile and those that are not take solace in the fact that there are always better offers. Some that missed Zenith at 10.90 in 2004 thought life had ended but those that bought Fidelity about two years later at less than N2 have made similar capital appreciation in a shorter period of time. Before you pounce I did not mention divs or splits. Basically there is always a better deal ahead. If you missed out on CHAMS do yourself a favour find out from your agent if your in, if not get your money back sharpish. A serious issuing house, if you bought directly would not have cashed you cheque yet because they should have matched availabilty to sell with requests. Depends on procedure used.
Interswitch is a similar situation. They are not listing this year and they have selected a few (literally) entities so sell to. The offer price is N2.00 for a 50 kobo stock. Therefore you have the option of waiting for listing or getting a seller to cross at a premium. However the sale and transfer has not been formalised yet, so nobody can tell you they have anything warehoused now to sell. If you hear such gist in less than the next 6 weeks na 419. I will make calls this weekend then on Monday mention at least one of the selected companies that would be willing to cross. This is because it is early days, if you do not wish to get in now and tie your money down for a least a year untill listing you have the option of waiting to see if it will open up to more houses to sell through nearer the time. Both options are fine.
Starcomms and Multilink both a have a degree of foreign interest in them and I will make a few calls tonight/tomorrow and try to suggest the best way in. I know the registrar of only one of these companies and will confirm the second to you folks by monday. Sounds silly but even if the house you buy from is not forth coming with a prospectus, make sure you scrutinize the financials first. You will surprised how many rushed CHAMS without reading the prospectus, evaluating the projections or knowing what the company is really about.
I must apologise for my verbose rants. Chatting away into my laptop I don't notice the lines flying.
I should not like the sound of my own voice. So shorter more concise contributions are in order.

Linkage,
I don enter am today oh. candlestick or matchstick! as long as this level of liquidity persist in the market, the only way i can guide against sudden shift na to have short time in mind. so my CICO na for only 1week. 10 percent profit after cost deduction is good for me. so na to bail out on thursday if all goes according to plan.I don't need a soothsayer to tell me stock wey don dey lose for the past week amidst excessive sectoral bullish run must surely turn back.
Nascon- Una suppose know say Nascon no fit continue like that, If you dey do CICO. i wonder while u dey expect 50% profit. CICO na strictly for short term in my dictionary. If you claim you dey do CICO for stock wey u buy 6 months ago, na hyper CICO be that oh. The rule is not to be too greedy unless of course you get better backup like the recently declared bonus and dividend for DEAP CAPITAL. with that you fit stay with the stock for as long as u want. no problems.
we know say NSE is sweet but don't take it for granted. your profit can evaporate before your eyes as quickly as you make it. This time, its better you lower your exit threshold . If you dey make 10% each month, you know where you go dey by the end of the year- the level at which u operate notwithstanding.
Correct bobo. I dey like your style. The kind "gates" wey open for insurance yesterday and today na him them dey call oga ju. Na yakata I carry my whole body enter yesterday as I talk. Na only one I catch sha but I no go complain. Na as I no wan take chances I follow chase the 3 together. Yesterday na Lawunion. Today na Linkassure and Prestige. O ga ju. All na emergency CICO. Good possibility to exit in 1 week. E fit happen even before the stock go clear for CSCS!! I don talk say no insurance o but wetin I go do when them dey open door like this I hope say TS no go punish me sha. When I sabi candles like aktopgun, he go dey easier for me to catch this trend. For now na manually I dey find these stocks. @aktopgun - I bin don forget that one wey you teach me that day. Na maribuzo or something sha. These stocks qualify for wetin I call maribuzo sudden-reversal. Catch am on the rebound Na true talk. 50% CICO na exception and not the rule. I bin don troway greed since.

RCCG floated a cooperative called Jubilee Cooperative some years ago. Jubilee Life is an ofshoot but RCCG does not own shares there. I think Felix Ohiwerie or so is the Chairman. Not sure there is going to be preferential allotemnt, if there will be, I will let you know. Intercontinental is not likely to buy them over. Intercontinetal already has Intercontinental Homes. They did a PP I think early last year and it was like over 700% oversubscribed. That was the first PP that I saw that people did not even get alloted the minimum as stated in the placement document!!! For me, any PP where there is no guarantee of FULL allotement, I don't move near. That's why Resort Savings and Loans is not a big deal for me. Well, I expect Costain to start a free fall. Except you have a GOOD broker you may not even be able to sell. For those in for the LOng term, ne temporary setback. I expect another upsurge once the allotment result is out. There must be SERIOUS oversubscription!!! First Bank has cooled off. Will join UBA at the 49.00 - 50.00 range. I however expect First Bank to ahv a surge around April. BOC is resetting again but I have done thanksgiving with that. From <3.00 to 20.00 is enough except for someone that need deliverance from greed. Chellarams still dey represent BIG time. No info yet about the old purported offer. For those in it for the Long Term, start to accumulate May and Baker. 2007 result will not be fantastic. 2008 should however be a good one. Hopefully, the vaccines and food section should be contributing to profit by then. NEM is still moving up!!! Na wa OOOOO!!!! Men o dey complain sha. Missed the rights @ N0.55 Transcorp is still racing upwards. Na wa for that one OO. Surprisingly, volume is still relatively small. Anyone get Thomas Wyatt to sell? Diamond shouldslow down a bit next week. However it is getting ready to move to the 25.00 mark as the interim bus stop. So those that need to enter should do so fast.

I really don't understand why SEC will continue to allow all these misnomers. How can a private placement be oversubcribed. By definition a private placement is supposed to be a placing of the shares of the issuer with customers of the brokerage firms. So If IBTC, for instance were allotted 2million units of the shares of Coy X to place it should stop selling once it has achieved that milestone. To do otherwise is fraudulent- except they can get the issuer to allot more shares. A public offer, on the other hand involves an offer to the public and is usually done through many receiving agents. So the issuing houses would not know the extent of the subscription until the offer is over. The problem is that private placement are being marketed like public offers.
Frankiriri, if you read Crazy T's post very well, what you stated above was avoided in the case of CHAMS. His broker took the form to the issuing house who rejected the application because they've already reached the limit. I am intereted in Multilinks, Starcomms and Interswitch. For PP's, I ready to be locked in for 3 years minimum. That's when you get COMPOUNDED benefits. If you get the prospectus, please share even if it has closed. This will allow me to undesrtand the business model and where they will be making the money from. Sure you got your rights for FAN Milk. Still angry that I allow the offer to BUY WAMCO (makers of peak milk to pass). The dividend from those companies na helele!!! Really, Telecoms is the next BIG thing in the market. The growth and profit in that sector is heavy!!! Could not do the MTN offer as I would have loved to.

Don't know which gets better result - INSTINCT or TECHNICAL ANALYSIS. I sent in a buy order to my broker to get me Deap Capital after mark down, but after reading someone here's opinion, it sounded right that I shouldn't go in yet. So I cancelled the order immediately. If I had listened to my instincts, I would be counting my gains right now. That aside, everyone makes this mistake. The guy's reasoning too was rational. It can happen in a bullish season.
@Pumping777, please tell, how much do you know about this Deap Capital. My knowledge to me is still scanty. Please holla back as usual.
Getting it is another thing you need to worry about - As ZSL could not get it for me (That was my bid two days after the mark down).

Queen Yodi, you have said it all. NASCON is a N30 or more stock. With good 3rd quarter result, it will shoot to N25, and then the rest will be history with the release of the YE result. For now who wan CICO fit get CICOCELL Once the price come down now, I will sure load more. Their N516m profit against a huge loss has told me that I may not need CANDLE to see clearly for this one, even with lantern or matchlight, I don see am finish. I am growing with NASCON. I wish more people go vex commot so that the price will come down to N15 sef At the end of the day, even if you are watching your weight and you don't wan take SUGAR soak garri, you will still need SALT

Today CIleasing closed at N13 plus. For 100,000units I have lost no less than N300,000 in just three weeks. But is that all? Do you know that I still have not received my cheque for the sale? ?
