Universal listed 16bn shares. That's a good candidate for share reconstruction. BEWARE!!!!!!!

Doubt if you will get Goldlink to BUY. The ownership is so tight. The PP went to only 8 people. They should be doing PO soon.

Thanks for the heads up on Universal.

Unity Bank

Anyone watching this gradual but determined move? Closed at N9.81 today.

The PO rumour/price movement is now looking very real.

For those that took the chance, if this plays out, this will be a serious test of greed. To bail out safely or try to maximize profit and end up in TS?

Woke up to 5 pages! Just caught up. My observations of the day:

  • Zenith tested the N50 barrier and failed. FBN is struggling to keep it's nose above water.UBA will try (and fail) on Monday

UBA tried and suceeded. One of the few times I'm happy to be wrong.

That hasnt stopped it from doing the max since it listed though. This is  by no means a medium-term stock.

For CICO/ RO-RO i have placed my order though.

Dont know about FIDELITY though because i have not been looking. Yeah go for LINKAGE if you can get iti think Pumping777 don commot that one for ground and pray you don't get caught by TS

Goldlink and Universal assurance have just listed and they have been doing 5% to the upside so i think good for CICO or RO-RO. They will be going on TS but not soon  i suppose because they have just been listed they will push up the price  a bit so hopefully you get your timing right.

Please do not over-expose yourself to the ins sector its a minefield as has been said so many times  on this forum.

Its your CALL!

I noticed the list there is quite old and some companies are not listed. There was another list attached by I think is Samstone (not too sure tho) that contains a current list of the companies. Infact Fo2 gave a special gratitude to the list at that time. It was in January, let me go through all the pages i guess while waiting for some one with it to attach.
Sorry for being adamant but I need it quite urgent.

Hi @ All,

I am starting my Investing Class 101 @Nairaland Uni today, I have been a silent reader for a month or so now.

As a junior starting I will like to throw way salute to the Elders, Seniors and Gurus in da house but most importantly salute to the juniors/newbies in the house as they been the ones making the gurus by asking questions which I believe the Gurus will have to read on sometimes ( No students = No gurus), and secondly the questions asked benefited a lot of silent readers like myself .

I have learnt a lot on this forum and am sure there are still loads to learn, so I will be still asking questions and hopefully answer questions too. But the class dey too fast sef hope I can cope oh.

Best forum so far for NSE!!!!!!!!!

All: Cashcraft don com again o  Shocked Shocked Shocked

Just got info from a friend, whose close friend got conned by a cash-crafty rep. She unfortunately is a novice. The rep Uju went to her office telling her to buy either Afroil, First Aluminum or Unity bank. She choose Unity but was told to look at the price appreciation from N2 to N12, hence a better option. Her ordered 300kg and the stock has been losing serious weight since she bought. She's been trying to reach the Uju (Oju Ole(thief)), but she is no longer reachable.

Blueband protect ya sef well well o, before yawa gas. Yes I do have an account with Cashcraft, but this is somewhat manageable, simply because I have made my account officer my friend. The downside is that she still has to operate under the lousy ethics. I was this close to signing their death warrant last year owing to their dubious practices, but a good friend dissuaded  me from doing this, coupled with the fact that they would use my account officer as the scape goat ( I couldn't have that).

Last year they didn't trade for about 2 days, why? They were under investigation by the SEC and therefore not allowed to trade. But most of their clients are none the wiser simply because they would be told they could find the stock to buy or impossible to sell!

This year something similar happened. Someone was trying to hide money in stocks with them but the SEC once again stepped in. Stopped them from trading for 1 day.

Since last year they have been experiencing server problems, I'm surprised how long its taken many to notice problems with logging into their account.

One thing is certain from my experiences Cashcraft has some crooked elements in their midst (management/employee), but as this is Naija, this is not so unusual since its a man no man business.

Another thing to be aware of which Napolean has somewhat highlighted, is the fact that most of our brokers are looking out for number 1.

We all need to realise that we are actually in competition with most of these brokers, judging by the experiences we've all had  Huh Embarrassed Cry Sad

When you place an order for a stock they also want, you can be certain their order gets filled first. We are considered last (except in some instances where you have a good relationship with your account officer, who can sometimes influence situations on your behalf).

We all know that buy or sell our brokers make a profit! Better still for them if you hold a stock they want from you. You can be certain that stock will lose so much that their advice is for you to sell at a loss, while they buy at a profit from you and still collect their bonus commission for doing so. I recall reading on this thread where someone got his broker to take off N1m worth of unwanted stock from his account. So who is the unfortunate guy that got this weight dumped on their lap Huh Someone has to bear the brunt and it sure ain't the broker (you can bet your last dollar on this).

Wasky-Waja: May I suggest you put up an email addy so that some who may want to recommend stocks for you do so via email? My suggestion is based on the fact that some might not want to broadcast their stock choices for fear of deep pockets and the eventual scarcity of the stock.

How goes the gale today?

I note that FSDH Securities are you brokers.

Please tell me roughly how long it takes them to verify your certificates and have them on CSCS. This has been an area of dissatisfaction for me.

@ Wanaj0, Pumping777, FO2, RoughCut, Risky and all the guru and non-guru's

Have you all heard about Partnership Investment PP? If not please check page495 on this thread and read (part) of the invitation letter they send to me for the PP.

If you know anything about this PP please do share with a brother.

Btw, I need your help on what stock to buy because I am heavily loaded from my loot on (my non-fundamental stocks) Capoil and Afroil; the loot is so much that I need to whitewash the money ASAP  Embarrassed because 8500% gain in less than 1year from just 2 stocks is more than blood money. Shocked

I had a “looting after party”  Cheesy and that was why I overslept and missed the SCOA flight, now Transcorp has made me sober and I am back to reality.

I am thinking of offloading part of my loots into these stocks PZ, COSTAIN, ARBICO, R. T. BRISCOE and DUNLOP

So, what’s your take on any of these stocks?

I am having a similar issue with Cashcraft. I have been trying to make them reverse an unauthorised sale for weeks, no luck.

The fact is I stopped using them but need to slowly sell off my holdings. They really are not worth the hassle.

@ CrazyT,

I support your comments that your holdings have questionable fundamentals and it may be wise to get out. Here are my views on your suggestions for replacements;

PZ: no, no growth
Costain: red hot, don't stop a moving train. Besides I thought you got some last year when the rest of us slept on it.
Arbico: who?
RT Briscoe: yes yes yes. My own 'folio just got five zeroes' worth  Grin YE is round the corner. Solid bonus history
