I personally think lasaco is a fundamentally strong company because of the opportunities they have with regard to both the local content policy and mandatory health insurance for govt. workers. If you're buying for the long term, I will consider the current price too high (projected PE by my calcs is about 38, based on my assumption that they are able to grow FYE profit by 20% from their Q3 profit). With these insurance companies, I'm not sure how they'll perform at the end of the year, but my suspicision is that Lasaco will do better than I expect. Year-end result is likely to be out from as early as May to as late as August. So, to answer your question: Yes, I think lasaco is fundamentally strong, but am not sure right now is a good time to enter. It's currently on the down trend, so wait and see what happens.

Yes, this is the Windy Wendy that we all know.  After all this grammar on the stock, even if the thing no work, one is happy.  Thanks for throwing nepa light on LASACO, it went to confirm my thinkings about the stock.  You are invaluable to this forum.  When I used that grammar "invaluable" for one man the other, the man thought I meant that he had no value, na God deliver me from en hand Grin Grin  I know madam Wendy knows what I mean.

the market remains undecided. there is less and less trading on fidelity for now. A doji formed today showing this indecisiveness.

actually the other indicators don't look bad at all. so i would hold on to see who wins but thats me

chei, thank god say i don't have to go to work in the morning, i for just dey prescribe kulikuli for my patients.

aOn the scoa chart above, i don't know whats driving the price but hte chart shows 4-price doji over the past week becasue as u know scoa is an illiquid stock and is quite thinly traded.
the bears have made 2 failed attempts in the last 8 market days to spoil the joy for scoa but have failed. all the other indicators are of course quite bearish given the extended bull run its been on. i would wait to see a clearer candle pattern to form but thats me. in the mean time if i am already on the flight i would enjoy the ride but if not, i wouldnt even try to get on this one now, that would be like trying to catch flash gordon!! Stockbroker in court over N12.5m fraud
T ribune  26.02.2008

IF the report that the Na- tional Judicial CouncilA suspected fake stockbroker, Innocent Ilalokhion, 42, was on Monday arraigned in Lagos for allegedly defrauding 14 prospective shareholders of N12.5 million.

Ilalokhion was arraigned on a 40-count charge of fraud, forgery and stealing before Mrs Christiana Adesola-Ikpatt of the Yaba Chief Magistrate’s Court.

The prosecution alleged that the accused duped 14 persons of the sum while pretending to purchase shares for them in quoted companies.

The prosecutor, ASP Okoronkwo Okorie, told the court that the accused had on December 13, 2007, forged some Central Securities Clearing Service (CSCS) documents with which he allegedly committed the crime.

The prosecutor said the accused had no fixed address and had been using the documents to defraud members of the public in different places.

Ilalokhion, who has no legal representation, pleaded guilty to some of the charges.

Adesola-Ikpatt granted him bail in the sum of N1 million with two sureties, and adjourned the case till March 14 for further hearing.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reported that Ilalokhion was docked on February 22 over the same offence, but fainted while the charges were being read to him.

Adesola-Ikpatt then directed that the accused be taken to a nearby general hospital for medical attention (NJC) has disapproved the appointment of Justice Isaiah Lakanmi as the substantive Chief Judge of Oyo State is anything to go by, he may be removed from the office anytime from now.

@Octopus

IBTC is well tested in the business of investment funds.

It used to be a minimum N50,000 to invest with.

They deliver 40-something% annually I believe,or more, depending on their success at financial year-end.

Haven said this, you need to speek with them one-on-one yourself.

Cheers.

HELEP HELEP ME OH!

My people, all the gurus in the house.

Quick question. I currently use CSL stockbrokers.
But I am convinced they are completely useless.
Their response time for carrying out sell or buy requests is parallel to NIPOST efficiency.

In light of that, all this candlestick wey i dey study to start my own CICO/RIRO can not be done with them.
Does anyone share my opinion and what do the Gurus in the house suggest i do?

How should I go about changing stock brokers?
