Read this thread on TA and Aptistock by our very own easimoni http://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-103844.0.html#msg1995381

He is now Guru Emeritus on Stock Market Tips for Nigerians. He's done a fantastic job and i don't think this thread will be what it is without him.

Just my own little tribute to the Grand Master. The boy done well.

In that thread, 2nd post, he said he'd update the NNSE.xls file regularly and post it to megaupload for people like me, but he hasnt updated it since the 2nd of Jan or 1st of Feb.
I only need to know how to generate that excel file and i will start doing it myself.

Well not sure what post or thread you have been reading but if you look at this post http://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-103844.0.html#msg1994522

He has generated two excel files. There's a link to the CSV format in excel for closing prices for the last 2 years i think and there's a zipped file which he's attached that contains the CSV format for cloisng prices from Jan 2008 up till 25.02.08 so not sure what thread you made reference to.

Look through the link i just posted and you should find the info

Re: Big Treat exptrapolated forward PE of 114.
Was the impact of money received from the private placement considered in arriving at this figure?
We all know they just concluded a private placement which will likely have dramatic impact on the profits.
This should place the projected PE in context.

Urgent ,  Who has connection?
I have a banker friend who in a short time would be traveling to Nigeria with some Millionaire Investors.  These White American investors specialize in housing development.  They were supposed to be traveling to Niger Delta to meet with one of the deputy Governors.

Problem:
The investors are cautiously worried about Niger Delta; although they have hired some body guards to accompany them.

My friend has not done good homework as to possible outcome of the journey and the caliber of this deputy governor (had to always worry about 419 elites). I deduced this from quick discussions with him.

Not sure about excellent hotel accommodation in the Niger Delta.

It looks like the travel plan is now set on stone as it took time to organize.  I had proposed to my friend to cancel the trip and do some serious networking to establish good connection before the trip.

Question and help
If you were to introduce some foreign investors to Nigeria; what would your plan look like?

I suggested he may need to make some contact with highly placed economic movers and checkers in Nigeria.   Example, Soludo’s teams, FCT administrator, Lagos state Governor, Oil and Gas Team and etc.
Please I need your advice and if possible please send contact information.  Please send information to ymenow44@yahoo.com

If we factor in the additional profits that will come from the PP funds, we also have to factor in the additional shares that will be listed.

The projection is based on Q-3 2007 and the Fiscal Year already ended in December so I do agree that interim results from this year will give better valuation.

@All on DSR, I think we could all agree that it's the quarterly dividend nonsense that's turning the sugar to sh*t (pardon my french).  And CICOERS just saba (hibernate) for that stock no allow the chick to hatch. Dem don take all the yolk fry egg finish. A good result should help shore up the price plus the anticipation of dividend suspension, may be a bonus in the offing?

TERM OF THE DAY:

Macaroni Defense

This refers to a corporate strategy taken by a company that does not want to be taken over. The company issues a large number of bonds with the condition that they must be redeemed at a high price if the company is taken over. Why is it called Macaroni Defense? Because if a company is in danger, the redemption price of the bonds expands like Macaroni in a pot

On livestock, notice it did not gain max today. Lets wait till AktopGun shines some candlelight on it.

@ hardmoney, this enquiry about some white men coming in seems a little out of place to me.
Why not tell them toslip into the country unnoticed and stay in Lagos to conduct their meetings as there are thousands of other whites there.
They coult slib in and out of Nier delta and do their business quietly.
Since they will hire security, no wahala go dey as additional cover dey.
Every country has its own issues so lets not see the naija delta issue as a major deterrent to business.
Search the web for Nigerian tourism and business websites and ask of security.
Others wey dey sneak into this country since are still alive , so no fears.
