@Gurus

Please advice because these are the cheapest Insurance available so far apart from ACENINS which i can see is not available.

My broker will mail me the form today and I’ll place it here tonight or latest tomorrow.

She said they are very positive that they will be listed this year, especially with so much money in the market and the private placement is so little 1.5 billion ordinary shares and in my own opinion the price seems cheap too (offer price of N2 per share)

I expect oversubscription on this one sha!

I stopped reading when I got to the bolded portions!!! Too many errors to even bother

Those are typography and explanatory errors now  Cheesy,
I have a cordially relationship with my broker so much that I don't take note of her mistakes, because most of her mails are always informal.

But I’ll take note and scrutinize the prospectus when I get it today.

@ Blueband

I used to be with CSL about 8 years ago.
I had a very keen accounts officer but when she was promoted away from that post they started to neglect my emails.
I was forced to move from there. I got the impression my portfolio was too smal fry for them at the time.

My advise is to use a broker you have some connection with.
CSl may be very good in terms of acess to new issues and PP.

As for safety of your money, I can recommend FSDH.

This should be interesting to crusader's bottomline: its from Nigeriansecuritites.com

The new drive by insurance companies to expand their sources of revenue to cope with challenges of meeting the needs of their teeming shareholders, no doubt, is helping these firms explore untapped opportunities in the financial services market.

[b]Crusader Insurance Plc which already has investment in life and non- life arrears of insurance, pension and real estate states that it will before the end of the year conclude acquisition of two investment banking outfits.

As it happens Crusader is on TS

The volumes of Crusader traded today makes one to wonder since it is in technical suspension.  Out of curiosity which insurance stock has the least PE ratio?

omo i tire for this NSE o! crusader that is on TS is 4th most traded stock today. it didnt even get anywhere near that when it was open for business. makes me think some people know something or is it just a case of hoping the price rises post TS? hmmmm Undecided Undecided. either way, i gethand luggage for this one  Cheesy  Cheesy

Universal insurance is highest traded for 2nd straight day. with 16b shares listed? what is it with the company that is pushing these high volumes? its definitely not profit because they haven't even had time to perform yet let alone have a track record that can be analysed.

i only hope fellas on here are the ones doing the selling and not the buying sha. come to think of it, i guess it may fit the risk profile of some people( or at least that will be the excuse for buying innit  Cheesy  Cheesy  Cheesy)

The question is who are those buying? For starters Universal insurance will have to do a share reconstruction and/or IPO as soon as possible so it is in their own interest to bid up the price beforehand and it looks like someone or some peeps are doing just that

as a firm, they are efficient in dealing with your buy n sell orders. you can think of them as a buy/sell machine and you need 10 million naira opening balance for them to look at you. i expect that shld not be a problem if you are deep pocketed.

i personally consider their services a bit impersonal but that's my opinion

Like Wanajo would say, there are brokers and there are brokers!

Of all my brokers, 3 have successfully succeeded in BREAKING ME ALMOST TO PIECES.  But I have my thumbs for MBC Securities; they are award winner any day any time.  SERVICE DELIVERY - EXCELLENT.

Account opening may be a little problem for low brower investors:  just N5m, thereafter you have good stories to tell.   This has been my personal experience though.

The three other yeyerest ones are:  Mainland Trust Ltd (Don't trust their services), City-code (better pass for village-code), Profund securities (they are BEST in making mistakes or forgetting your mandate, blah, blah).

Very soon, all those brokers that would not improve their services will have their names printed in bold here every week.  Many have sent unwary to see AKTOPGUN - don't think any young guy needs to rely on antidepressant these days for stock investment Cheesy

You see what I find amazing about IBTC that has such a high entry level is that a lot of people talk about their efficiency but when it comes to customer relations they score 0.I can only conclude that even with 10M one won`t be a big player to them so they will not send

For Costain folks, awon RoughCut & co, it appears that we've hit a stand still there, notice some resistance, exhausted buyers, very low vol being traded now. Folks appear to be holding on now, maybe waiting for the trigger towards release of FY results. I don't see much rapid advancement, might not hit N50 till maybe mid March, we prob bounce around the N45-48 mark for at least the next week or 2 even.

Anyone else notice Nig-German today, it finally broke past N28 again today ending at N28.66, it hasnt done that since early Jan, very small vol but the RSI looks just right, and I see it inching gradually, it might hit the all high N30 mark by Thursday. This company appears to move in spurts of every 3mths or so.

Dunlop is on the rise due to its low nominal price. thankfully I sold CILeasing after a 52% gain in 6 weeks and hoped on its train, I bought a very small quantity last week (at N5), and have gained about 9% after fees already, closed at N5.66 today. It looks poised to reach N6 by Friday as there doesnt appear to be a shortage of buyers. Today had the most # of buyers since the run 1st week of Feb. Short termers should prob try to get out before it gets to N8 because those who bought end of Jan at around N4 or below will def be cashing out.

All my opinion, and yes I have all 3.

As expected, COSTAIN drops to N43.95, due to profit taking
NIG-German did as expected, has crossed the N30 mark, breaking its previous highest, ending at N30.09
Dunlop continues its rise, closing today at N5.79, looking to reach that N6 by Friday
So all 3 went as expected
As crazy as the NSE is, I think I'm finally learning small small from here how to predict and speculate, thanks guys fundamentalists and TAists! Smiley

Not sure anyone is buying!!! Some brokers warehouse the shares and sold at a premium to their clients. So right now, those shares are being crossed to those clients. That's why those charts get it wrong sometimes in Nigeria. They already assume a perfect market which is a NO NO!!! the kind underhand deals that we do is serious!!! It is more like the more you look the less you see!!!
