it worked not like the way i wanted so i used fireworks and changing the opacity setting and gave me exactly what i needed

if you also want to make an image transparent, you can aswell save it as gif format, check on image colour,
how i wish i hve time this day around i would have should you the step

Use fireworks 8 and save as gif. in the export image setting under image preview, click alpha transparency, it works like fire. Holla if u don't get it.

try using photoshop, its cool, 4 transparency in .PNG & gif format,
