No offense but I hope and pray this is a private venture as opposed to an officially sanctioned website (by NFF, NFA or whatever it is called now):

1) What is this? http://www.experiencenigeria2009.com/gallery.html

2) The "angle 90", on the right side of the site doesn't make sense to me

3) For a real experience of Nigeria, I would expect videos, blogs, links to twitter (i assume u or someone will be at most events), ability to comment, tips on social life, where to go./not go, etc

4) I would expect photos of various parts of Nigeria to make it visually appealing

5) Maybe throwing in a streaming audio/video feed of various places, certain games, etc wouldn't hurt either.

Again, no offense but again, I hope this is a private venture.

Take a look at this site for inspiration (not to say it is any better):
http://www.southafrica.net/sat/content/en/us/home

Act quick, the event will be here b4 u know it.  Good luck!

The gallery layout is not looking very attractive, it should be proper positioned, it should use some text, there is no text. it should contain some animated effects . Choose a common font style.
check this example http://www.bitwords.com/portfolio.php

Thanks guys.

@yawa-ti-de Its not the main site, its something temporary and its not govt-endorsed.
Haba, you should trust I could do something better.

Just didn't want to leave the page blank while the coders are working on the final design.

Im sure you'll be pleased with the final design.

I knew you guys would talk about the Gallery page, that's my laziness showing.
