When your boys sang ''yahoozee'' and ''maga don pay'' which enjoys some serious airtime on foreign stations and even Collin Powell danced to it, where were you all, or we didn't know it will give us a bad image. To sue SONY is tantamount to self deceit. May be we need more than rebranding, what we need in my opinion is recycling, total overhauling. And it can only be done by our leaders. Let corrupt officials face capital punishment - death by stoning or hanging on a cross.

wait so let me get this straight. So its okay for tv stations and radio shows to be playing "maga done pay" and be making fun of the americans but it is not o.k for them to hit back with their commercials. Think people think. Do you have any case to carry to court. At least na we start am first.

HA HA HA HA HA HA, THE COMMERCIAL IS VERY VERY FUNNY. WHAT A CLASSIC. I WOULD NEVER FORGET THAT LINE
"Bernie you can't believe everything you read on the internet, otherwise i'd be a Nigerian millionaire by now." ha ha ha ha ha.
WHAT A CLASSIC COMMERCIAL. ABSOLUTELY PRICELESS he he he
I saw the commercial yesterday with my yanki rommate and we laughed. My other yanki roommate also asks me why he gets too many e-mails from Nigeria.

Well guys, whatever the government did worked. Sony has changed the advert leaving out the offensive part. Click the link below for the new version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KlRdrqy5hjgGood to know that they listened and responded promptly. They should actually follow it up with an official apology. Its also good to know that for once, the government stood up and spoke out against stuff like this. I hope they keep it up.

Did you click on the link? This version was released yesterday so it will take a while to circulate the numerous stations currently running the old advert around the world. By the way, is it the entire advert you find funny or the subliminal negative reference to Nigeria? I was just wondering they changed it where? i saw that ad, with the originial 'nigerian millionaire' line on my tv yesterday. Primetime. on CBS.
It's playing. and i for one think it's a very funny ad.

And may I ask how many fake electronic gadgets and other house hold equipment come from china? How many softwares music, videos and books are pirated by china, russia, iran etc - dia is no buk, software, video/music you can't get from the net courtesy of these countries -e.g chinese www.ebookee.com.cn , the russian site www.avaxhome.ws. So why pick on Naija alone. While I will not absorb nigeria from the online scams, I will say sony was hugely wrong to profile Nigerians (generally) as scammers. They should have also profiled Russians and Chinese for pirating (which in my opinion is even worse than scamming) as well. Having said that I bliv we need internal sanitation to clean up our mess. every country in the world has it own dark side

@cripnip
until Japan can dig to find a teaspoon of crude oil on their land, they are as dependent as a spermatozoon in a testicle. So I don't know where you were headed with your logic.
@Black_Revo
you're waiting for what's next from Sony? You obviously have not watched Resident Evil DEGENERATION. In the opening montage they did put it that the Nigerian president has sworn to continue sponsoring terrorism.
I just pity those that don't know what's happening here, how we're being given a bad name for our imminent hanging.
@CGKing
there's not a single PlayStation console is being or has ever been pirated in Nigeria. We simple haven't advanced to that level yet. I'm sure you're one of those that know nothing about this country but just blame everything on it. It's either you don't know what a PlayStation console is, what Nigeria is, or even what counterfeiting means.
