is there an organization or body that examines anybody that want to become a pastor? fate has no limit my brother and you can not just justify that you are on the right religious fate. Moreover you might not know if you have a wrong fate until you find a fate that is superior. Is there any guidelines for naming a church? sterling drive must be either a street or a small location in a vicinity, which mean a church located at sterling drive. Simple!

And why shouldn't there be any guidelines (check and balances) to control these mess in the name of Christianity? That's the reason the level of emotional and financial abuses from these so called  'Bishops and Pastor' on church members is so un-describeable.  The continuous use of the word of God to make members feel the need to donate whatever they have to the church is beyond words.  The worst part of it is that a great number of these so called Bishops and Pastors are not Spiritually called to serve God at all.  In fact, majority are doing it because they are UNEMPLOYED and could not find a job thus use God's word to extort money from vulnerable people in the name of TITHES AND DONATIONS.  Our heavenly father will reward them all in their own coins in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen, Amen and Amen!!! On the same token, are you saying that there are  guidelines that suggests Churches must be named after a street or the like? Isn't it appropriate for Christians to name their place of worship to identify, relate or connect with the word of God Almighty? Instead of playing with words in the name of our God.  If there is no motive behind their ambitions then, act simply CLEAN 'cos Spiritual Cleanliness is Godliness! If your spirit, conscience and motives are clean - why should you worry about criticisms?  That's the guilt they have to battle with for the rest of their lives because they deceived souls and will pay for it on the last day.

@ post- Don't know your religious affliation but Christianity and Islam are mutually exclusive seeing Islam is built on foundations that TOTALLY reject the anchor of the Christian faith. Don't be deluded by all this Interfaith stuff. Speak with those in the know to confirm for yourself.

[1] Islam says Jesus was a prophet not God's son. That God CANNOT and DOES NOT beget. There goes out the window the biblical promise that we are God's sons by faith through Christ. That negates what the bible says in John1:12 namely , to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.

[2]Islam says Christ didn't die on the cross not was taken alive into heaven.  This means no resurrection nor forgiveness of sin. Check 1Corinthians15:12-19

[3]Islam says the koran is the highest revelation of God to mankind. This totally runs against the grain of  the New Testament teachings and writings which point out Christ as THE ONLY WAY to God seeing He fulfilled the Messianic prophesies. See Galatians 1:6-9

 Lastly, as Paul wrote in 2Thessalonians2:3, 'Let no man decieve you,  for as Christ said in John7:17-If anyone chooses to do God's will, he will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own. I rest my keyboard.

@mbulela,
where in the Bible did Jesus Christ instruct christians to fast the lenten fast? Did you see a confirmation in the Bible that you, as a christian should be observing the fast before you thought of trying to get non-christians to join you?

Isaiah 58:6 Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?

7 Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?

@davidylan: Tell me if the OT is still in full force as Jesus had commanded and summed up by saying "I did not come to abolish the laws and the prophets. Whosoever abolishes or encourages anyone to abolish any of them, will be the least in the Kingdom of heaven", or that we are now in the "love your God with all your heart and love your neighbor as yourself?"

Make your choice bro and your "what a disgusting lie" statement, you just have to eat 'em all up, like mickey who eats everything, afterwards!

to start with, that wasnt what Jesus said.

Secondly, why are you quoting from the bible you claim is corrupt? Can you not read the quran instead?

@David: You are very exciting. You are cornered like Michael Vick's pit bulls. You have no response, so the best way out it, is to begin to dock, uhm? Odaa o. While you are still trying to play the three blind mice, try analysis 1 John 4:1 about "prophet, comforter!"

And did you see my list of Ethiopian Christians worship and others christians and Jews bowing and prostrating like muslims?

Muslims do not follow the jewish calender. They follow the hijri calender. That both calenders are similar does not mean that muslims follow the jewish calender.

if it makes you happier believing that, then by all means be overjoyed.

i doubt if this pastor understands what he's, perhaps, there are more reasons to as to why he's doing what he's doing.

JOHN 14:6
I QUOTE
"JESUS SAITH UNTO HIM, I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE: NO MAN COMETTH UNTO THE FATHER, BUT BY ME"
DIDN'T GOD ALSO SAY "I'LL SPILL YOU OUT, IF YOU ARE NEITHER HOT NOR COLD?"

@davidylan,
are those two verses you quoted the 'plenty of God ordained fasts' you were talking about?
They don't look so plenty to me.
That aside, you are not supposed to keep abiding by old testament laws as a christian. I understand that you now have only one law which orders loving God and your neighbours. . .not fasting.

lmao, in this how to fast in your village

Lets continue

7 Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?

Did you read verse 7 and see  ? is this the kind of fasting christian fast ?

Now you know how the jews fast and their fasting is not to abstain from food according to isaiah
