I would appreciate if anyone could come out with creative ideas on how to go about this: I am a soccer freak& very passionate about Soccer both on the local and International scene. I love participating in soccer analysis and could do that 24-7-365 without bating an eyelid. I also love anything football administration. The problem is that i have found myself in the Banking industry and u should know of course that the job would avail me time to think for myself. I know that i need to get out of this job fast as the only satisfaction I can ever get from working is if it is has something to do with either sports administration or analysis.Pls I would appreciate ideas and pieces of advice from anyone who thinks of me as a friend as im getting frustrated by the day doing this job. I must confess, im not fulfilled doing this job.

ifeoluwa, i feel you, some of us are into jobs that not fulfilling but out of neccesity find themselves doing what they had to do. in this, you are not alone!
well, i dont know if u have any training in sports journalism or administration. i am thinking that you could start writing articles for sports dailies/magazines in the little spare time you have, it could be in the middle of the night. you post them to editors and see if they like them, then you take it up from there.
i will not advise you give up your job now without getting something concrete. but by all means pursue your dreams. lot of sacrifice must be done (like your sleep and working extra hard)
i am sure other nairalanders here will have other suggestions.
best of luck.

u can send massages to the bank and its top management board by going to work in sport atire and holding your football always. keep a nice football on your table. always have your wisthle in your mouth. make sure u go to work with a red and yellow card. be ready to flash a card to a co-worker or a costumer either red or yellow depending on the weight of his or her offence. by so doing, the bank and everyother person will know that u have an ambition to pursue football. but remember, if u are not playing, work is very difficult to find in nigeria and a million and one persons are out there waiting so if u quit, coming back might be a problem.
