in my extended family my grand fathyer had 30 kids so u can i magine the amount of grand children he has and how so many cousins i have though it is quite so much fun being with ma cousins i'lled still prefer a very small family of 4 or 5 m and my husbamd inclucive but if God decides a larger family who am i to complain as long as he gives me abundant money to cater 4 them

Interesting how everyone has skewed the ratio  in favour of boys. 2 to 1, 3 to 1. of course its better that way( any guy born into a family with overwhelming majority of girls will tell you, they will always win no matter what strategy you use. )

I would not really mind having a large family if i can afford to feed and take care of them but in the end it all depends on God and my wife.

No matter how wealthy I get, I'll stick with a maximum of 4, 2 Boys and 2 Girls. However, I prefer 3, 2 boys and a girl.

There's really no fear of them dying anymore as infant mortality has being reduced by advances in Health care. This used to cause our fore fathers to have multitudes of children as they believe 50% or more might die later

I haven't got a farm land to cultivate, and even if i've got one, i think i'D still prefer mechanised farming. May be when i change my mind i will goe for ten children; seven boys for the farm and three girls to put food on there tables. For now, five children is ideal. chekam!

I really love this topic.  I guess caused I have always been a dreamer and in my fantasy world where everything is perfect.  I would love a family of 6.  Mom / Dad and of course 4 kids.  Don't know so much about my dream since am now very skeptical about relationships and never like the idea of marriage because most people especially nigerians put too much emphasis on it.   And too much stereotype about nigerian females and getting married.

Being the only girl in a family of 3 children, i don't wish to have any sex as an only one.Cuz i sometimes wish i had a sis i could share my room with.I hated sleeping alone when i was a kid. I'll like both sexes in equal ratio....but max of 4.....so 2 boys, 2 girls in whatever sequence...but the age gap might be abit higher than we usually have these days.

2 kids. If I get twins and it's a boy and a girl, I'll close the chapter there. If I get a boy, I'D like a girl. If I get a girl, I'D like a boy as second child. If it's two boys or two girls, I'll be very much satisfied, but if he wants, we can have a tie-breaker.  Wink

I noticed that most of the ladies said they would love to have 3 kids- 2 boys and 1 girl.

Why the emphasis on more boys than girls ?

I am just curious and will be glad to receive some honest answers from my sisters

Thanks
