@stanloski,
you said it all. mindset is the key.

@AjanleKoko,
good words there too. the issue of being your own boss was brought
about because of the stanbic-ibtc lay-off. if those guys had something
else doing by the side, they'd be smiling by now when others are crying.

For all those seeking authentication, look no further, i was dropped also. And the letter held no reason. They just decided to lay off people.

Your case really caught my attention.  Really sorry, brother. GOD WILL MAKE A WAY

@Mbulela
u can pass your message across without getting agitated ot personal

you are both right and it depends on how we are wired.

Good debate tho

@Topic
all i can say is make sure you cultivate the habit of saving when ure an employee
anything can happen. The guys at Lehman brothers never believed they would be jobless one day

Your ability to save from your earnings now will come handy whenever u wanna leave your present work voluntarily or when the axe falls on you.

save!!

honestly,

as a staff i can confidently tell u all that there is no reasonable reason/justification for sacking this innocent nigerians. the rest of us in the system now work under severe anxiety and insecurity.

the bottom line is that every employee in today nigeria should secure his/herself by thinking of others things apart from banking.

the d-day coincided with 9/11 in USA,  so,it has been tagged in our banks history as SEPTEMBER 11 ATTACK.

I just wonder what rationale was behind the move. If it has to do with the performance of the people, then who are we to question the move? No one will want to just pay salaries and not get value for money (All the budding enterpeneurs had better take note.) This is why sentiments are not to be attached to business.
