Managing Editor For A Magazine Wanted

A Client of ours is looking for a Managing Editor for a new magazine.

The main responsibilty of the job is editing a print and online
publication for the African Man; covering lifestyle, business and
entertainment, accountable for correct grammar and punctuation, content, clarity
and consistent use of the magaizine's style.

The selected candidate will have to    Chasing and checking editorial
copy
   Fact checking
   Proof reading
   Ensuring consistency and checking sense
   Checking emphasis and re-weighting stories where necessary
   Maintaining thorough knowledge of style and ensuring that copy adheres
to style
   Rewriting copy where necessary for clarity
   Formatting charts for clarity and style
   Correcting/writing headlines when necessary
   Communicating with writers/editors to ensure correctness

Knowledge and Experience Required for the Role
Proven Copy-editing Experience
Experience in a news/ publication environment
Keen eye for detail
Written English

Suitable candidates should have a minimum of 3-5 years work experience.

Salary range is from N80, 000 -N100,000
