Guys,

If you've not watched DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES. You don't know what you are missing. You will not stop until you finish the series. Its divided into many Seasons and episodes. Currently, they have Season 1, 2 & 3. And each season is divided into at least 15 or more Episodes. The story is full of Love, deception, suspense and many more. Infact, it is captivating. Just try it out.

okay i am soo loving this thread. pity i've been a member and i havent stumbled upon it. i think navigation in this site should be improved and people please i'm a movie buff, lets not just mention okay films.i'e the film is okay and the film is cool .lets mention only movie that you really do not need to die without seeing. rock your socks off , blow your mind away movies.
my all time favorites that everyone should see before facing God are:

A few good men (Jack Nicholson, Tom Cruise, Demi moore, Kevin Bacon)
the best court room drama movie ever, tom cruise and demi moore are great in the love-hate roles they play. contains such classic lines as "you can't handle the truth" and the last tirade by Jack nichoson is one of the best known  in movie hiustory

contact (Laura linney, james woods, angela basset)
excellent science fiction movie for sci-fi buffs and intellectuals only who arei isaac asimov followers tired of seeing aliens depicted as homo sapien look alikes with green skin , multiple appendages and corrugated foreheads. its long and has an anti climatic ending so mediocre will not like it. great movie

mystic river (sean penn laura linney tim robbins james woods samuel L jackson)
oh my God. if you havent seen this movie you really cannot kick yourself enough. Clint Eastwoods directorial debut and he ultimately kills . another full lenght movie sean penn is a piece of work as the lovable gangstar jimmy. it will blow your mind away. YOU NEED TO SEE THIS MOVIE. CONTAINS CLASSIC LINES AS "the death part you do on your own but i could have helped her with the dying" "my daughters car is covered in blood and you got dogs. shawn. why you got f**king dogs? you looking for my daughter shawn?" sean penn proves why he is still one of the greatest

lord of the rings.
you want a review ? are you serious. the ultimate must see movie

Conspiracy theory (Julia roberts and mel gibson)
excellent movie featuring the two stars at their best performances ever. a subtle and concise mixture of humour and serious thriller type stuff , its an entertainer.

Scarface
arguably the best crime/ gangstar movie ever made

Payback
a lot like conspiracy theory as in humor and thriller, another great movie

The Devils Advocate keanu reeves and al pacino and charlize theron
now i know these movies are not too recent but my next post i'll talk about some of the newer movies which are must watches,

and thief of hearts you are sooo right. guys are sooooo not supposed to like desperate housewives, i can hardly stay in the same room its being shown in.

Personally I feel everyone on all movies that have been posted but I believe one of the best moveis I have watched and will probably still watch later today is The Original Kings of Comedy  with cedric, hughley, steve harvey and bernie Mac a laughfest from beginning to end am always picking something new from it everytime I watch it . Also another fav is Steve Harvey: Don't Trip,  He Ain't Through With Me Yet! where he did a stand up for TJ Jakes Megafest and did not use one cuss word(good to watch with the family) Have others but these 2 tickle the right places.
If you want to have a good laugh cop these 2 you wont be dissapointed if you are well!!!!!!!!

Huge movie buff here,

hm,  OK non mainstream (Hollywood i mean) films
Korean director Park Chan Wook,  Old boy, Sympathy for Lady Vengeance--- quite violent, but stylized and very mesmerizing. Tarantino copies him
French films-- District B13, L'auberge espanole someone mentioned La Haine, but check out other films from the director Mathieu Kassovitz,  don't remember offhand,  if you like Count of Monte Cristo check out the french version with Gerard Depardieu, long but worth it,  Cache etc,
Spanish: y tu mama tambien, Maria full of Grace, Motorcycle Diaries, habla con ella
City of God--- great Brazilian film

I could go onnn,  new favourites,  Little Miss Sunshine,  absolutely delightful, haven't seen The Departed or Babel but heard good things about it,  Casino Royale is yummy,

finished watching memento. wonder why IIce recommended it.

was it because of the will and focus of a mentally incapacitated man?

or our ability to create our own reality?

or the sincerity or lennie's girlfriend? or how to recognize the truth when spoken?

Just watched SYRIANA a definate MUST WATCH a dark movie about the ills of Oil wealth corruption and how the US feels about NON CONFIRMIST rulers a bit slow but builds up tremendously I think one of George Clooneys best performances till date with a very realistic documentary feel to it.
