In as much as i dont trust Onovo or anybody in power, lets take a critical look into this issue. Like some people have said, how can we just have 2 photographs of Ribadu in Late Gani's house? Femi Falana was in one of the pictures, he should come out and tell us if Ribadu came to Gani's house or not and that will put an  end to this issue. My Opinion.

But he said he would not jettison all the policies of his predecessors and would sustain the relevant ones. However, while reacting to the claim of the IGP that Mallam Ribadu did not visit the country, Lagos-based lawyer, Mr. Femi Falana, told the Nigerian Tribune that the IG was being economical with the truth, emphasising that he accompanied Ribadu when he visited the residence of Gani and the hospital.
He advised Onovo to check with the Area Command, Area F of the Lagos Police Command, to be properly briefed on the visit of the former EFCC boss to the places.
“I am sure that the IG was not properly briefed. I accompanied Ribadu to the residence of Gani. I was physically present, when he held a meeting with the family for about 25 minutes.
“I also accompanied him, when he went to the hospital where he spent about 15 minutes to pay his last respect to Gani. “The IG can confirm from Commander of Area F, which is the next building to the Ikeja General Hospital. Ribadu’s presence even caused commotion at the hospital,” Falana asserted.
According to him, the security agencies made frantic moves to fish Ribadu out, as soon they got wind of his sudden presence in the country. This, he stated, they did by combing the nooks and crannies of the country, even his home state, Adamawa, without locating him.
Falana added, “As soon as the government got to know that he was in the country, all security agencies were mobilised to look for him in a small village, in Yola, Adamawa State.”

What a world class policing Onovo and his boys offer us here  Grin  Grin  Grin
Mobilizing all the force to the village to look for a man that was next compound to the Lagos police command.

SUPER COPS INDEED!

What other proof are you looking for? A Video Evidence? abi you want NTA to interview Ribadu from Oxford? Una ask for pictures, una get am, una ask for comments from anyone present, una get am ,  I honestly don't know what else u peeps want self. Btw, are you a Police Officer?

The Nigeria police said it is a computer generator photo or a previously taken photo, according to them they ran a forensic test on the photo in their 21st century lab, and discovered that this photo could not have been taken after Gani's death, their reason accordingly was that there was no evidence of tears or sadness coming from anyone in the photo.

@Dinggle
But they have a POINT oooooo. How come nobody in that pix is crying?

Pls help me to tell them that GANI lived a good and honest life. We Celebrated his EXTRA-ORDINARY scarifies rather than mourn.

Again, no one is HONEST, RIGHTEOUS and GOD FEARING, until he/she can do something and believe they can get away with it, and does not do it.

That is when one has fought and won that natural "grab-grab" inclination. That is the pratical definition of Integrity. NO ONE IS BORN "HONEST, RIGHTEOUS AND GOD FEARING." Get off your high horse.

Leaders are a microcosm of the people - From the leaders we've seen so far (presidents, senators, university lecturers, police officers, bank executives, office managers, educated, uneducated, etc), we, as a people, have integrity issues because we avoid facing personal issues.

How else can the "new guy" on the block Onovo, look into the cameras and send verifiable untruths into the airwaves?

The IG is just a LIAR and should hide his head in shame!! No dignity at all

There is a lot of difference between been a liar and being a fool. I'm not convinced that this IG is a liar or that he has no dignity. He is simply stupid fool, a buffoon. he should have crosschecked faacts, confisticated cameras, phone camera et al before coming out to say this nonsense.

We should hammer more on the inefficiency of the Nigerian Police Force rather than the distractive elements of the personalities involved. This is not the time to batter our brains with questions bothering on the morality of Ribadu's visit, but rather a fierce assault should be mounted against the office of the IG, who has openly made his incompetence a front page headline!
We are of course in a highly unsafe country, no doubt, but then the NPF should still disguise like they know exactly what they do and not throw at us the insensitivity of their positions!

For those still in doubt if Ribadu was in the country 4 real I advice u watch TVC late night news to c if the Ribadu therein was 'videoshopped' since there is a possibility of the pictures in circulation being 'photoshopped

I don't believe all Nigerian Newspapers will collude to report that Nuhu Ribadu is in Nigeria, unless he is there.

I do believe that, the police had no intention of arresting Ribadu, because he was not declared a wanted person, neither was arrest warrant issued to him.

However, it look to me, after he came, and the AG Aondoka embarassed himself, the police force came under pressure for not arresting him. That is why the IG now came up with this excuse to exonerate himself. It is all about protecting their his seat

Funny People!!, Dont forget when a plane crashed in 2005 (The Bellview airlines crash)http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/4368516.stm   the IG and the aviation minister said there was no plane crash until the foreign media located the crash site. It is not unusual for police officials and many high ranking officials to deny incidents due to ignorance and incompetence. Despite credible eyewitness accounts and concrete evidence that Ribadu was at the Fawehinmi residence, there are still the "Dumb Idiots" that think it is a hoax.
