Nigerians Don't Like To Read
« on: December 07, 2006, 04:13 PM »

Yeah, that's true, I've heard it said several times before that we
Nigerians don't like to read and I just find it difficult to agree.
Well
I for one don't have that much free time to sit down with a good novel
like I used to when I was younger but when it comes to information and
motivational content I do take the time off to read.

Honestly, can anyone get by in today's world without reading? And the
internet, how much use will it be to people that don't like reading?
Don't people go to cybercafés in most cases to read their eMail
messages
or to source for information (which has to be read)?

News paper and magazine businesses are among the biggest in the country
so who buys their stuff, Ghanaians or is it the guys from Bene? So,
under this topic, please share with us your opinion of the whole
"Nigerians don't like to read" idea and tell us if you like to read and
if so what do you like reading?
