I have been asked to get a .gov.ng domain name for a lagos state parastatal urgently. Contacting some NIRA registrars yielded no results so is there any NIRA registrar here who can provide .gov.ng domain for a government website?
i need d cost for 2 domains for 10 years each. All d requirements will be attended to.
please mail me ASAP: ceo[at]afrisoft[dot]org

You could not contact them or that those contacted could not register the domain name required? The NIRA website should at least have an up to date list of active registrars even if to help project or promote the use of .ng domain

List of accredited registrars is on NIRA website nira.org.ng
Anyhow, I've sent you an email as we can do it for you. Our company (Netorb Media) is one of the Accredited Registrars. Our registry interface is at netregit.com.ng
For .gov.ng, be sure to have a letter of authorization from the government in question. Usually the Chief-of-Staff would suffice.

The last time I checked, state parastatals were not eligible for .gov.ng. Nira would ask them to go and get a sub-domain under the state's gov.ng domain.
