for dat day you can hire a caterer dat does a mixture of chinese and african food. also deserts.
Also get all sorts of drinks from non alcoholic to alcoholic drinks and ice cream for the young ones. then it could be done on a field with lots of space

Book a nice park.
Send out the invitations and make sure it is a day that all the kids of the employee will be able to make it, cos what is a family day, if the kids cant make it.
Plan some games, break them down into sections of adults and kids.
Have some musics and make sure there are plenty of foods as well as toys for the kids.
You can even ave the kids paint their faces, and i am sure they will all have a blast.
