The US census is one of the worst censuses in the world. What they consider "race" is stupid, and how they group these "races" is even stupider. A good example of this stupidity would be the fact that people from Sudan are classified as "white" according to the US census, along with anyone else who comes from an "Arab" nation. Arab is similar to Hispanic, they're both cultural distinctions. There should be separate categories for these groups.

Due to low population growth rates of Black Americans (due to many, many things) and the high population growth rates of Africans (immigration, high fertility rates, etc), I foresee Africans making up the bulk of America's "Black" population in the not too distant future. It has been predicted that much of the immigration to America in the 21st century will come from Africa and Asia.

This "takeover" has already happened in the UK. Black Caribbeans used to make up the majority of the black population there, but now Africans are probably near double their population.
