Can you believe this? On ABC's 20/20, tonight, they were talking about scammers and all of that, and we all know where it led to. NIGERIANS. So they talked about a whole bunch of stuffs, and scammers caught on tape and all of that. So well, here's what happened. They showed that we CELEBRATE SCAMMING IN OUR COUNTRY!! HOW you ask? They said that we celebrate it oo, and they showed Nkem owoh's "i go chop your dollar". They said that Nigerian calls oyinbo's mugus. Well considering nkem's song, i wouldn't blame them for the conclusion they made. Here's the link, y'all can watch and talk about this. What is black money? Money you wash with chemicals and it turns to dollars. WOW?!! Here's a link to watch this. http://abcnews.go.com/search?searchtext=scamming%20the%20scammers&from=0&to=9&type=videoThe first 4 videos explain it all.

And you erroneously assume that Nigerians are interested in that nonsense that pours from the lips of crack addicts in the name of reggae? Those who idolize Bob Marley do the world a great diservice, promoting the lifestyle of a chain smoking rastafarian who should be a poster boy for the evils of smoking! And i suppose Jamaicans are any better than Nigerians? my point was not the music, but the audience. most people on the western side of the world do not listen Nigerian Music. that was my point.
That is why it is Nigerian music and NOT western music. Since when did Jamaica qualify as being on the western side of the world too?

why are you all riled up? 1.) Reggae music is popular in Nigeria. look at this forum, Nigerians have been quoted has LOVING Jamaican artist. Even your Nigerian Artist are copying our stlye. Its true don't deny. i hear it all the time on EKO fm. 2.) No comment on Bob. His success speaks for itself. 3.) Never said anything about jamaicans being better, however i know you have the answer to that. 4.)well omit where jamaica is not. its not North. Certainly not South. it sure aint East so where else is it located? Today is christmas. let there be peace in Nairaland

All you guys living in the US should advice ABC news to do more report on African loot stached out in western banks that their governments are indirectly blocking from repatriation.

I am being bombarded with emails from a 419 scammer called 'Barrister chinedu'! He has sent me his phone number and email address and keeps asking me to phone him i know he wont do this unless he thinks he is on to a potential score with a mugu I keep sending him replies in my spare time knowing well that time he spends on me is time he can't spend on someone else I am going to tell him i will come to Nigeria and contact him ASAP I have now labelled him 'reverse mugu' because he is being scammed into wasting his time and money sending me emails poor fool

The song is sort of a patriotic song it helped that a comedian sang it, so it's not taken too seriously or appear to be condoning crime. but still has the "be proud of your country no matter what the west has to say about us," "keep your heads up" effect/theme. lol the west made it seem as if all nigerians are 419ers. damn i hate when he (the reporter guy) made his judgements about lagos city "shameful city" "crime ridden city." Well that's my city and i don't appreciate it. no thanks. go call your city "disgraceful," not mine. I like the song I like the traditional dance and costumes too. Proud to be Nigerian

ain't nutten wrong to be proud of where you from. but people have got to learn to ostracize elements that makes your home look bad. even here on Nairaland the Scammers are rampant good people that are here know who some of them are yet they don't denounce them publicly. its either you are for or against 419. If you glorify crime, then someday crime will smack you in the face.

anybody in their right mind should know that 419 doesn't pay. anybody in their right mind should also know not to take the literal message of osofia's song seriously.
well, each to his own. I like the song. cause it has a patriotic tone to it and it's catchy.
what i don't like is that condenscending and demeaning tone of the ABC report. it's not one bit objective (as usual) I'D rather listen to usofia's song all day than watch that stupid report for once.
