How would you define 'decent' dressing?  Do you mean covering your whole body including your face like the Arab women?

U don't have to be like an Arab woman as said by seun before one can dress decently.Putting on a simple dress without any show off is a decent dressing.U can't compare a lady putting on a nice tube top with short with d one puttin on a simple trousers/skirt with a nice top,ok?
Abeg my frd, dressing different frm dressing,ok?

The issue of what kind of person is decent and what kind is indecent varies from culture to culture, and person to person.

Which of the following do you see as being indecent when worn by lady?
- Men's trouser.
- Body-hugging trouser.
- See-through body-hugging trouser.
- Sleeveless blouse.
- Body-hugging blouse with a bra.
- Body-hugging blouse with an undershirt/singlet.
- Body-hugging blouse without a bra.
- See-through blouse with a bra
- See through blouse with an undershirt/singlet.
- See-through blouse without a bra.
- Mini-skirt.
- Blouse showing your bely-button
- Skirt with a long slit that shows your knees.
- Blouse that shows the tip of your cleavage.

Which of the above would you clasify as being indecent?  Can we be a little bit more imprecise?  Because you might be complaining that some other girls are dressing indecently, meanwhile others are looking at you thinking, "why can't christyne dress more decently?"

Come off it seun. Would u marry a woman that dress like an Arab woman? Huh
Dress normally i mean a nice pant (trousers) will do, with a good not too huggy and not too baggy top u get what i mean. seun for crying out loud what is wrong with sleeveless top?
I kind of agree with christyne, everyone dresses the way they want. I can wear a kind of jeans and someone else might complain it's too tight or sth u know we are different. I used to like mini skirts but no one stopped me from wearing it anymore......I decided 4 myself. Even though ma grandma used to complain... but then i didn't hearken to her but when i was satisfied i stopped. I don't like wearing skimpy things all 'because i don't like it. Some other people might like it for other reasons na them sabi. My advice to them is that they should not wear skimpy clothes to Yaba/oshodi 'because i am sure they will go back home with a baggy shirt.....lol.  Embarrassed
it is not until u dress half naked that u will look good. there are different ways u cld look attractive and nice instead of going half naked ma sisters..........
Think about it
Huh

the thing is that in this generation decency does not exist, wht is decent in the western world is aborminable in africa. wear bikini to the beach in the US it's decent even the thongs are acceptable even posin nude in magazines is becomin normal the world is changing. but if u put on a one piece bathing suit in naija u'll c 4 yourself so i'll say style depends on the person and their location,
as for me miami or mallorca i ain't wearing no bikini my body is not 4 public attraction.

Our ladies are dressing comfortably. We can't answer the question "why are they dressing indecently" for as long as we don't have a common agreement/definition of what decent or indecent dressing is. DO WE?

That is Seun's point, which I agree with wholeheartedly "Decent dressing is a matter of interpretation" and I think we should leave it as that.

In some families in Naija and all over, even wearing any type of trousers by a woman is considered indecent, no matter how baggy it is.

The mantra of this generation is "As long as it is comfortable for you, O GA GOES!!!" And I think that makes more sense than us spending precious time that can be spent or more prouctive activities arguing what is decent dressing and what isn't,

I agree, the definition of decent is so subjective that we cannot debate on what decent dressing if until we can have an agreement on what decent means

Take a löök at the clothes the catalog, they all look good on the models.
But try wearing them :
They was a time these Apron dresses were in fasion (these check dresses with bottons down the front) some thing a house wife will wear to do her house work .  But  on a model it looked different.

Hot pants are not hot pants. On every one
A wrapper on a white skinny woman  is also not the best i mean tying wrapper is alos Arts, not just tying.

for a lady not to dress well depends on her mentality and it differs on every body perspective of not dressing decently.so wether u dress well or not depends on you personally

to me decently maybe in two ways;some may be dressing and covering all your body like a typical muslim or an arabic.or is either you dress casually without exposing your body.or what do u think gem?

i think dressing depends on the occasion
u cnt wear a t-shirt and really free trousers to d club can you?
or wear a short sleeved straight cut dress -  styleless u knw like d day wears we hv 2 wear in boarding schl to a party
i mean u cnt expect me not 2 wear somn skimpy on a hot summer day because i only get 3 mnths a yr 2 flash my skin, come on hv mercy
