im just wondering,as an information system analyst, wouldnt you rather work in China,which is far far ahead of Nigeria in IT,where you can gain loads of experience,than come to Naija,where you'll probably be under appreciated for your efforts

cactus: dhtml's response pretty much summarizes what I am going to type out: Generally speaking and from personal experience, if you are expecting someone in Nigeria to spend their "credits" to call you, someone who is coming from abroad, you may want to pick up a number, stand in a line that wraps around the building, and have your favorite novel handy as it will be a while. Last I was there, I thought I was doing a good thing by mass-texting my number to all my friends and family. I did this just to let them know I was in town and not for them to call. Believe or not, upon several visits, many said words to the effect that, "so you are arriving into town and are actually expecting me to be the one to call you eh? okay now, you for wait tire". I weak!  Again, I speak from personal experience and in general, so no hanging me in effigy please  |
