Hmm. . . women?  Having got married to her, one day, one way or the other, she's most likely to remind you that she is older than you are (even with FIVE good years).  Now, if you really can deal with that, go ahead and marry her!

As for me, the minimum is FIVE years younger.

Nobody said so.
However, all said and done, it's safer to marry a younger woman.

If a man is really looking for happiness here on earth, then I wonder if he really needs to marry.

What women are you looking at, most older women appear to take better care of themselves then their husbands, and therefore tend to have a more youthful appearance, in addition to having a longer lifespan!

I still don't agree with you though
but one thing i agree with is that
getting married is optional
but not that if you want real happiness you don't have to marry

I didn't say you don't have to, but that you don't need to, as in, marriage not being an essential means to or requisite for true happiness.

For me oo, marrying someone younger than you is not too nice.

Even when these guys marry someone 10 years younger, they still dey "straph" outside,
its more comfortable to know that your husband is your senior, so that people no go ask you
whether you force am to marry you by pregnancy or otherwise when he starts misbehaving, i don talk finish.

Depends on why you're marrying her - because you love her. Regardless of whatever anyone else may say, you're going to spend your life with her, so, that's all that counts.

The age thing shouldn't be a barrier. But, if you need to ask folk on a public forum what you should do, then, you've already answered that question for yourself,

I wouldn't marry a man 5 years younger than me. I'm afraid that I will treat him like a child and I do not believe any man (no matter the age) deserves that kind of treatment.  I guess it's all in the human psyche but I would prefer to marry an older man. My choice could very well have stemmed from my junior high school experiences. During after school lessons, the boys in class were practically in "heat" every day and wanted to get in every girl's pants; only to write the names of their victims the next day on the wall, with illustrations of their pubic area on display. I'm sure you can imagine how such images could affect a 14 y/o girl at the time. I generally think older men (having already been there and done that) have a better sense of control. My future husband will be at least 10 years older than I am and no more than 12. I've got it all planned out. FYI, I do realise that some older men could act as kids, therefore I do not base my decision on age alone.
