Msc Scholarship
« on: December 12, 2006, 09:52 AM »

Please I need your sincere advice,
I a lady of 23 years and Bsc holder in Computer Science with First Class Honours,
I am presently working with Zenith Bank PlC.
My life ambition is to be a Prof, ofcourse I hope to go back to lecturing later later in life,
and I don't want to obtain any of my degree from any Nigerian institution.
I also have opportunity of join NNPC .

I got a scholarship to do my MSc at Turkey.
The scholarship will cover all expenses including flight ticketĀ  To and Fro and an allowance of upto 400 dollars a month.

The course will take two years and the language of study will be turkish.
Ofwhich, I am supposed to go in to language school for 6 month before going for the main course.
I am confused, should I leave all this opportunities and go for the scholarship and come back maybe after three years and start looking for work again?

With this parameters, what is your advice for me? I wont mind, if you need to know some other things to help you advice me, I will be glad to sent it across.

@ritapurity,
 If I were u, I would go for the scholarship. On arrival in Nigeria, you would be hot. As hot as Akara to n yo eruku (Hot akara). You would be more relevant than now and besides it is a positive step towards your ultimate goal. Please think about it carefully but for me jump for it. Full scholarship, ticket fees and $400 per month, it could not be better.

Go for it girl.

Congratulations

Hi rita, I'm sure youd get a scholarship from a university in the UK if you applied, your 1st class degree should open doors for you. The language of study is english and their programs last for 1yr. Do a thorough internet search of UK schools. You didnt state what you plan to study so I can say much more but scholarships abound for people like you, apply quick as the scholarships close early.
All the best.
