I'm using my phone 2post so i can't scroll up but d guy that replied my last post are u kidding me. Oma had only one bad performance that is her mary blige but like u said timihas had about 3bad performances. Diverse vocal strength? Are u kidding? Timi all through d competition has picked songs that fitted his rough gruff voice but oma has been the person taking risks n choosing ambitious tasks and it has consistently said off for her. Its called strategy. She sang just enough 2keep her in d competition till d final stages and then she brought out the big guns. Thats where eric got it wrong. He brought out his aces too early and we say through his adorability 2quickly n saw his average talent so we sent him home. The guy talkin about make up take a chill pill. Its showbiz. Its all about glamour. Half of d clothes u see on d runways are not commercially feasible or even practical. Its showbiz. Its meant 2be exaggerated. Or d make up used on d runway. Its delibrately exaggerated. Timi will not make a fitting idol. At least not over oma. Not in a million years. And all d judges know it. U can see it just the way we all knew they all wanted jodie to win.The guy who talked about money stop being a hypocrite. Its all about d money and fame.Would u not think it pretentious if they had said oma we want u to win so u can use your fame and fortune to achieve world peace. Seriouly. Its the money 4them. Its the love of music 4 her. don't judge her by what her peeps said ok.The competition is messed up , we lost some good people along d way. But we can make it right. Finals should av been oma, jodie, jarry d ghana boy and joan. Period. Lets make it all worthwile. Vote oma. She is more talented n stands a better chance of breaking it internationally. Timi sings 1 genre of songs. Oma could easily sing pop rock or r and b which r d genres that will be acceptable world wide. N 4 d love of God there was absolutely nothing wrong with omas bob marley and c. Aguilera. Or are we forgetting these are amateurs? My people. She nailed both songs. N only jodie would av been able 2 come close. Timi not in a million years

Well, Chukky, you need to understand some things. Bob Marley can never in his life sound like R Kelly, Neither can Joe sound like Shaggy. They'll not even try. That's where knowing your strengths and limits, and staying within them comes into play. Omawumi tries to sound like to many people, and it was all to her undoing. You talk about versatility, but can you hear her voice on the radio and know it's her? Not at all. She's used a different voice for each of her songs, it's difficult to point out a unique voice. That might be good, but then not in a competition where you're still trying to get people to like you for who you are and what you sing. I'll pick Timi over Omawumi any day and I'm glad he won. If you watch the performances tomorrow, you'll agree with me.
Note: I'm not badmouthing Oma, she's very good in her own right but she was second best in the Top 2. that's why she didn't win.

All I can say about Timi is that he has a huge fan base.  He appears talented but he keeps repeating his mistakes.
I haven't listened to much of Jodie or much of Timi, but Jodie's last performance was Flawless.  F-L-A-W-L-E-S-S.

Wow! Was at the Grand Finale yesterdayand I'm so glad that the man who deserved it most, TIMI is our West African IDOL!!!!

He has a new single and performed it yesterday, its called I LOVE YOU and its a great song as well, better than Omawumis YOU GET ME. Now Timi has proved to be not only a great singer but a good songwriter as well, believe me the mood at Planet 1 was electrifing. Too bad I wasnt allowed to take shots on my camcorder, of course you all would have seen it before it screened later this evening, and they wouldnt want that.

Jodie got her dream duet with Uche and it was a sweet performance, and the rest of the evicted top ten performed together as well and surprisingly Jerrilyn was their lead!

Anyway, its dream finally come through for Timi who was in tears after he was announced winner. And his song was really, really good. I loved it. The minute its on sale I'm getting my copy, Dan Foster promised he was going to play it.

What are you all waiting for Monday night for, its the Final, there can't possibly be another show to announce the winner, that is why it was stressed that the final performance does not count, already voting ended noon saturday.

Timi won for many reasons.
1. He worked the hardest in this competition. He entertained us the best. He showed the highest level of creativity. A cumulative review of performances showed Timi as the best.
2. He is for real. Not afraid to show his softer side. Not afraid to cry. Not afraid to pronounce words wrong. Not afraid of where he comes from. Not afraid to be himself. That is the stuff of greatness.
3. He connects with his audience and fans. The passion in his eyes. His body language on stage. All come together and created an unbeatable force. He grew bigger than the show. He became uncontrollable. Last minute attempts to discredit him, met stiff opposition from his fan base.
4. He is the best singer in the competition. Let's face it. His voice resonated in people. His voice his unique. When you hear his voice on radio, you stop and listen and ask, “Who is that?" He is just about the only person in the competition who has that gift.
5. He won the hearts of many people around the world with his voice. His fan base is made up of men and women, children of all ages, all over Africa. His fan base is fanatical. They made Timi’s matter their family matter. They were committed to seeing him win the competition. They put their resources, time, skills, effort, and integrity on the line for Timi. It is only a man favoured by God that can get the fan base that Timi has. Timi’s fan base knew what was important. Votes! And vote they did. They voted for Timi as if their very lives depended on it.
6. He acknowledged the Creator, every step of the way.
7. He is the only singer in the competition that defined himself. He is a soulful singer. He is a love song kind of singer. He loves his audience and his audience loves him. He made good song choices. Songs that connect him with the audience. Songs that need to be song. No drama, no theatrics. Just pure and raw talent.
8. Let's face it. Sweep all sentiments under the carpet. He was the best. Even if the like of Jodie, Uche, and Joan had made it to the finals, Timi would still win.

I predict that Timi will sell the most records in Idol history and will go on to chart a path for himself as once of the greatest artistes that every came from these parts. Love him or leave him.

Jodie was voted off before temi and jerrylyn so what does that say of d selection process. Timi had more fans. Period. He wasnt the better man. My prediction. He might hav more fame for now but oma is going to be more commercially successful than timi. Mark my words. Timi is good. But seriously? Over oma? And how can u people say timis overperformed single to omas diva style international quality song. Well 4 a forum with d general agreement that saucekid is better than mode9 i can no longer be shocked.

what do you think about the sales.because nigerians wouldnt be willing to buy CDs at the normal rate of about $12 which is about 1500 naira.which would really affect the sales drastically here in nigeria.

It says that people will support you if they think others are also supporting you, whether or not you have the goods.

Oma is willing to wear pants on stage if that will make her popular, but she doesn't impress me as much as Jodie.

However, Jodie will probably not be commercial successful because this is Nigeria.  We never manage our talents.  Sad

I love Timi's new song.  It has a catchy hook, it is fun, a crowd pleasing, fist pumping, feel good song.    I cannot get the chorus out of my mind, I am singing it non stop already.

I am so happy right now.  I loved Timi from the beginning.  He takes that stage and commands it.    He also has true humility and a gentle  and sensitive soul which shines through

My problem with Omawumi, is, I don't know who she is.    She will be anything they tell her to be, she has yet to find her true style and who she really is as an artist.  What did not impress me, was at the end, I feel she was using sexual appeal for votes.  She started off always ladylike in her cocktail dresses and the last few weeks, the dresses got really short, see through and she became too loud and overconfident.

I love Timi's voice, performance style and there is something in him that just touches my soul and that is what has captivated me from the beginning.   Each week, he just hooked me more.

Did I say I am happy?.   I lied, I am ecstatic, and deliriously happy.!!!

Fan Clubs are not just about winning competitions. Fan Clubs are about supporting creative careers. Timi's career as a recording artiste is just beginning. His fan club's work is just beginning. All Timi's fans should sign-up.

A fan club is now an essential.  Fans need to keep up with the artists they supported, follow their career, know when they are doing appearances, what magazines they are in, promoting concerts, spreading the word about what is happening,  buying cd's,  Voting for your idol is one thing, afterwards comes supporting them.  Every Idol that has won or even runners up, have numerous fan clubs that more than play their part in helping further their career.  As an example, I know Clay Aiken's fans  are known to be one of the greatest most passionate fan base.  He appears on television and within 30 minutes, someone has downloaded his appearance on the internet for the international fans to watch, and people who were not available to  see it.   He does live concerts, they take a video recorder and record the songs and within 2 hours after the concerts end, it is available on the fan sites to watch.  They have someone take cell phones into his concerts and one person speaks and connects live to the fan club and they report on what he is wearing, what he is singing, what the crowd is like, etc.  It is all part of the hype.  I know Kelly Clarkson fans do the same.  Look for any tv show she has been on, and you will find it on one of the fan sites.  That is what keeping the momentum is, spreading the fan base, talking, analysing what songs she is sung, which is their favourite, etc.  They discuss weight, hair, management, which magazines they should write to, to get her to appear on, which shows they should try get her on, etc.  It is endless.   Fan clubs spend hours daily discussing their Idols every move.

It is more than just a song to be played on radio that will keep you famous.  It is your fans who ultimately make you.

It would not have mattered to me whether Timi or Omawunmi wins. What matters to me is that the two best made it to the final.  That Temitayo of a girl ain't shit, yet she's got the Orphanage money pushing her all the way. More so, Jeremi abi wetin be that her name self, dey use sympathy plus one yeye ass fluke am go.

I was glad when the two best where left. But, I was much more happier when my favourite wins.

At a phase, it was not and did not seem fair but at last, the right winner emerges.

UP TIMI
