Na waoooooooo, why don't u search ur mind, and know if u trust ur self,
besides, i dont think this is fun, u talking about yoruba's, sorry if i may ask how many Igbo's ve been the president of Nigeria, take a look @ this up coming votes, just because they dont trust Igbo's and am sure they can never be the president.
I think we should rather trust our selves first, cause most people dont worth to be trusted both Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba's.

Whats with the hatred for Sista? Is this forum so much about Sista bashing?
It all sounds so ridiculous; and I'm sure some of the bashers are those people who are always quick to use the word 'HATE'

Easyy dont ask us , no one mentioned her but you. leave that for the other thread, if you want to defend her atleast wait till you are on that particular thread. Lets keep this topic virus free. sry poster for off topicback to topic I find all the tribes have differences and i think many of the stereotypes have gotten out of hand and ppl have just ran with them for many years , whether due to history or politic, however like someone said its hard to trust ppl in general anyway, it's kind of lame to reduce it to a particular group of ppl when humanbeings all have different characters.

This thread has really gone off topic. I asked a simple question and some are taking it out of text . I'll ask again, can Yoruba people be trusted, if you'd had any experience with a Yoruba folk, please shear with us. You really want an answer? Yes, I can trust a Yoruba man. Last time I checked, Gani Fawehinmi was (and still is), a Yoruba man. The late Colnel Adekunle Fajuyi who lost his life in the 1966 coup, rather than betray his C-in-C Maj-Gen. J.T.U Aguiyi Ironsi was also a Yoruba man. Kindly note: Trust, integrity & respect are human virtues, which are not gender-specific or confined to a particular tribe. The good, the bad & the ugly come in all shapes, in all sizes and in all forms. They can be found in each & every tribe! Dishonesty is not restricted to a single ethnic stock. It cuts across every single tribe. Check the Nigerian prisons. You will find inmates from different parts of the nation, serving various jail sentences for different crimes. Are you saying that because you encountered one dishonest Yoruba man, you cannot encounter a dishonest Igbo man or a dishonest Hausa, Kanuri, Ijaw, Edo, Nupe, Tiv, Igala, Igbirra, Kalabari, Ibibio, Efik, Egun, Birom, Urhobo or Ika person in different parts of Nigeria? Puh-leeze, get real.

back to topic I find all the tribes have differences and i think many of the stereotypes have gotten out of hand and people have just ran with them for many years , whether due to history or politic, however like someone said its hard to trust people in general anyway, it's kind of lame to reduce it to a particular group of people when humanbeings all have different characters. Euphoria, Found this post on another website. It was quite enlightening. http://www.nigeriavillagesquare.com/board/main-square/33707-nigeria-basis-inter-ethnic-harmony-2.html The respondent using the peudonym Nero africanus wrote: i find ethnic discrimination a lot like racism which those of us in the diaspora encounter in various forms everyday.
first of all, we need to ask the question how does somebody become racist or discriminatory? it all depends on the back ground you grow up . i have interacted with white folk you told me that all they grew up hearing was that the black man was inferior ,lazy , not completely evolved and had a tendency to crime . the result of all these is to make the black man an object of resentment and hate , some just grow up racist with no other reason other than it is fasionable to be so.
it is like that with ethnic discrimation, most igbo who hates others , or yorubas who hate others or hausas who hate others have had no first hand experience except what has been relayed to them. if the media says africa is all about war and pverty then it is so for the listener for they know no better. if you grow up in a house being told that all igbo people do is use commerce to take over your land. you become discriminatory without knowing what it is about. if you grow up being told that hausa were backward and prone to religious violence and were to be despised , you probabely end up that way . it is possible that you are told that yorubas are cowards and should not be trusted.
so you see ethnic discrimination is something that we get passed down and unless something is dome about it combating wholesomely it will never end. as enlightened people we all know that if obj shuts down the borders and forces local production of goods and comodities it is to nigerias betterment. but say that in an igbo village what they understand is a yoruba president shutting down their means of livelihood and therefore should be hated and despised. in england where i live the govt is doing a lot to combat racism but it is still there. now imagine nigeria where nothing is being done at all this was the purpose of unity schools and really helped and there you learn to judge obj as a daft human being and not a a daftyoruba man for not all yoruba people are like obj . this is a lot like profiling of nigera recently in abc network as a nation of 419ers. the government needs to foster national intergration more, but with the kind of mindless fools there of all ethnic groups that will be difficult as they don't even know the first thing to do .

Does the topic of this thread even LOOK like a "question" to you? simple question ko, simple ibeere ni. "Yoruba People Can Never Be Trusted", looks like a STATEMENT to me. Even if you were asking a damn question, what kind of stupid question is that? Do we know all the Yorubas in the world to answer such an idiotic question? Koshi kuro waju mi
