Your Opinion Is Needed Here
« on: October 01, 2009, 08:10 AM »

Hi guys,

I just finished the designing work with MS Frontpage on http://celeugonabo.com

And uploaded the files to the web-server but pages and some of the buttons don't display very well

and I'm confused as per such is happening.

And so I seek your opinion here on what actually is wrong and how I could fix the problem fast.

Thanks In Anticipation

Styling

Redo your CSS. remove the styles from code page.

Then you can find what the problem is

Did you upload it through frontpage or through an FTP program?

What is the operating system of the server you are uploading to? I'm guessing this to be Linux.

If you want to upload a work done in a MS frontpage to a linux server, that server needsa frontpage extension to be installed on it else you will encounter problems.

If this is not the case and the website is displaying properly on your local server, then you should upload everything again as the upload is not complete.

I uploaded the files through an FTP program named FILEZILA

1) What do you mean, exactly, by "buttons not showing up well?" It is possible to explain what "well" is so that we know the opposite? I guess my point here is that we aren't mind readers.  Looking at the page, where the buttons are (assuming my idea of buttons equals yours) look fine to me.

a) Does your host support front page extensions?  If not, that is your problem right there.
b) Why use a 3rd party FTP program? I haven't used frontpage since 2000 or so but last I used it, it had its own in-built file transfer program.  All you do is click the necessary button, specify ftp address, username and password, and frontpage does the rest for you.

good luck!

Guy na wa oh.

i think it is my fault. i checked out the website (on firefox) and all i see is a centered table with some not well formatted text.  Angry

Don't mean to sound like a guru or something but trying learning how to design a website using the codes and notepad. it will take you almost the same time to master all the drag and drop of ms-frontpage.

On you website or white page (na wetin i see, no vex  Cool),  Embarrassed
