  Vs

Arsenal continued the winning run with the Champions League triumph over Olympiakos and the Gunners need to win this match in order to stay close to the title rivals. Arsenal  rediscovered their form after the back to back defeats to Manchester rivals and they have been very impressive lately. The Gunners are scoring goals for fun at the moment, especially since Andrei Arshavin returned after injury.Arsene Wenger’s side are obviously going to attack the opponents from the very start of the game as they will be looking to score an early goal to set them on course to victory. Blackburn defence is not good enough to contain players like Bendtner,cesc, Van Persie and Arshavin. With Walcott expected to play. This is going to be a sure win for Arsene's Arsenal Wink
“The Professor” will likely receive much press attention before this match as on Thursday he became Arsenal’s longest ever serving manager after completing 4,749 days at the club. The fact that will no doubt be cited in the lead up to this game numerous times, is that Wenger’s first game in charge at Arsenal was against Blackburn in October 1996. Two goals from Ian Wright proved the difference in a 2-0 win that did little to suggest the type of football and success to come in the following 13 years. Cool

Rovers are far from impressive this season and they will struggle to remain in the Premiership. The win over Aston Villa helped them escape from the relegation zone but they cannot really be expected to get anything from this match. Blackburn still have real problems in the scoring department and considering they scored just 2 goals in the last 8 away games against Arsenal.Sam Allardyce’s team face extremely difficult match at the Emirates as Arsenal are really convincing at home and they should basically be happy to avoid a heavy defeat. Blackburn traditionally play poorly against the Gunners and they tend to concede quite a few goals in these games. Former Spud player, Robinson wont be looking forward to this match Grin Grin Grin

@edoyad: Maybe he is talkin about Chelsea Clinton or Chelsea from eastenders.

Anyway, na now we go start to get an idea of what Arsene's first 11 really is.

I go for:

             Mannone

Sagna  Gallas  Verminator  Clichy

             Song

Cesc                        Diaby

Walcott                     Arshavin

               RVP

Wally start against blackeye? i sincerely hope not. So they dont send him back for medical internship. He's likely to come on when their legs are tired though. Im guessing it'll be Eboue or bendtner at right side.

@Slimshay and edoyad

I think yu guys are right, I was looking forward to seeing all that pace unleashed in the final third without having to bother too much about defending but Arsene might be taking things easy with Theo.
