We are not being realistic. Nigeria meets Ghana-champions of the AYC in which nigeria was 4th. The ghanaians are still unbeaten, they beat european runners up england 4-0, and topped their group. They have what nigeria lacks- discipline and accurate finishing in front of goal. It would have bn beta for the f/eagles not to have left the group than to be humiliated by their agelong rivals!

Instead for Nigeria to work hard for their qualification into the round of 16, they are now praying for the downfall of their sister country (cameroun) and now that cameroun is gone, what other country's downfall should we pray for? i pray our flying eagles do us proud.

Our strikers never click in three matches. Are they going to change at the knockout stage? Good luck to them but i dont see them winning the cup.

Now that we are through to the next round are to meet our African brother on tuesday. Let the siasia boys focus on netting the ball while not neglecting the defence. Knowing that they have no other chance of hoping on other teams to qualify. May God see them through.

Our boys are not as bad as some people would want to make us believe,so far they have shown that they can create scoring chances which is very important, however the lack of a striker like Chrisantus has made scoring extremely difficult.Even the two matches we lost we played well but luck was not on our side, otherwise things would have been different from the start.but now that we are the round of 16 i hope to See change in our playing style.these boys can come home with the trophy.

I don't tink our boys r dat bad, only dat we got no striker like Chrisantus or skilful winger like Ganiyu Oseni & Kabiru Akinsola, oh I miss dose Tella entertaining boys.
Anyway,I'm happy we're meeting Ghana. Let me go to Ghanaweb and make mouth. Since SE disgraced us by playing draw wt Tunisia in Abuja, and d recent FE losses, i've been e-shy to open dat forum. If we beat Ghana,Naija forumers get more bragging rights.

Nigeria only made it by DEFAULT. I personally give more credits to that poor Tahiti. Maybe, just maybe that Austrian ref, (Thomas "Henning" Einwaller) deserved a little of my credits too for sending off 2 Tahitian players, thereby hampering their chances of pulling some goals back! Lol

u know ts so funny that!!! even with just 2nil against tahiti, we wld still av qualified!!!!!!
england and uzbekhistan has a point each
cameroun and usa has 3points with -2 goal diff each!!!!!
leaving us to qualify automatically!!!!! even if we had only won by 2goals against tahiti

^^^^^^^^^^^ wrong Cameroun went into the last match with -1 hence after losing 3-0 they have -4 now. USA on the other hand went into the last game with neutral so after losing 3-0 too they have -3 hence even 1-0 against Tahiti would have seen us through

Its rather poor that today we pray for others to slip to qualify, TUNISIA and CAMEROUN . this is rather going in through the back door. those that entered through the main door will surely root out those through the door unless a miracle happens. we have to sharpen our attacks if not these boys go carry us do yeye

Football is really crazy. We deserve to qualify because we were better than the other losers. though as a nation that has experienced footballing at the highest peak and knowing the available potentials in this country, qualifying through this medium is an unacceptable standard by Nigeria's pedigree. We pray the sudden Tsunami that always brings positive change to Nigeria ( think of Soludo-sanusi-banking, Babangida-abacha-MKO-June12, Governors-looter-efcc, Dirtiness-Lagos-Fashola, etc) will blow throw this country sports federation soon. 4 now, lets sit back and enjoy being on record that we did not crash out in the first round of FIFA U-20. (I hold my comment on the coach)

Make that ''. . .the way they are finishing''. Frankly I don't have a problem with their play. I think it's pretty good. Finishing is the main problem they've got, and if by some crazy miracle they can get that fixed, they stand a very good chance of not being the first country to return home. Ghana/Germany will be some litmus test. If Cameroon played worse than Nigeria did then heck, they should go home. For now, thank the Lord for Tahiti.
