Psp Phat With Joystick Problem

This is for those with psp phat.i have a white psp phat that had an annoying problem; the joystick kept moving down no matter what i did.After awhile,i took it to a repairer who changed the joystick nub.this worked for 2wks before the problem returned.i have changed the nub a total of four times with various results.After 2 months of searching,i came across a site that broke the problem into 3 solutions
a. A psp board issue
b. A white plastic issue.there'r a small clear plastic between the joystick nub and the board that may be dirty.cleaning it may help.
3.the screws holding the faceplate may not be tight.
I checked mine and found out the bottom screws of my psp was worn and wasn't holding the psp tight enough.considering i was in a place that was very far from lagos,i bent a small,strong piece of iron into a C- shaped band & placed it at the bottom left of the psp to hold it together.it's crude and temporary but my joystick works like when i  bought the psp.
Hope this helps someone so you wouldn't have to go through the frustration i went.
