@huxley   My answer is, do you believe in the bible and the teaching on paying tithe and offering? if you do not then do not bother replying.

How does it matter whether I believe.  You are dumbskulledly being sucked dry by a corrupt institution and then you turn round and ask me if I believe in the institution?  C'mon, man use your head, or have all your brain cells being wiped out by the bible too?

@huxley   Obviously i have countered your arguement with logical, precise, and calm rebuttals. Also i am quite sure you did not read my initial post because if you did you would realise that i am against pastors taking advantage of their flocks. I believe that whatever monies i pay is to God through man. You seem hell bent on being aggressive and abusive. Or England no pay you? No be fight now.

Where have you countered me?  What arguments have I made?  I don't remember making any, other commentingg about the venality of the God people and the stupidity, dumbness, credulity, gullibility of the people who follow god.

I rest my case since you believe that whoever follows God is stupid. Why didn't you tell me before hand that you were an aethist? just de let me waste my saliva. As an aethist you have a right to your own beliefs as i do mine. so do not impose yours on mine. Shikena

The rich young ruler came to Jesus and he responded by saying to him “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.” (Matt 19:21)

Was he  telling him to rid himself of riches while he actually had them himself ? Was he asking him to be poor? Was he teaching him seed faith?

People wake up! The Lord does not need your money, he’s more interested in our heart, our time, our life.

You're either illiterate or plain dumb.

You so see the world in black and white that you totally assume everyone who criticizes the evils of christianity is muslim. . . . It's this narrow-minded mentality that holds you captive  in that cesspool of ignorance called religion. Wake up my man!

And to those of you squirming "lets not judge" your lethargic attitude towards this fraud and crime against humanity is testament of your SELFISHNESS and HYPOCRISY!

Listen to yourselves. . . . " Oh, its commanded that I give tithes to prosper and increase, I have obeyed by paying to the pastor. I don't care what the pastor does with my money, I have fulfilled all righteousness and expect my bl£$$ing$. Whether the money goes to the the poor and needy, its none of my business all I want is my increase. Amen"

What you people forget is it's written that jesus came for the poor and downthrodden. . . . In the OT tithe was meant to care for the poor, widows and orphans. I guess you lot do not see this in your holy book as every nigerian pastor writes his own bible these days.

Imagine an atheist or group of atheists who do not believe in God but will ignorantly advicing a believer(s) on what to and what not to believe in God's Word. You're free to say your findings about any pastor(s). Any other advice against the written Scriptures  is 100% satanic and misleading from any shameless unbeliever(s).

The story above could be true or not.But one thing is sure God knows all those that are his own,and let those who nameth/ call on the name of the Lord depart/avoid/run from iniquity. There are some churches that are so organised all the income is not controlled  by just one pastor.Even nobody owns the church in that case u could be posted to any town or branch at any point in time.
I am not talking of one man church or one man General overseer where the wife and the kids are the board of director no.
Any instuitution may be corrupt but not as we have painted all these men of God.Not all pastors do this.
You can investigate and give us the names of fraudulent churches .But organised and old churches don't just eat/spends the congregation's money or better still God's money.
What else can I say than god is the greatest judge.

I thought i was the only one noticing this recent trend of seed sowing. Their quote* you must give God something that is very valuable to you* One acclaimed Pastor even told my Dad that He needs to sow his car in other to receive the blessing that God is preparing for him(he did this after running round the bush like a 100 times)
@Poster am not siding any church but the truth is the the passion with which seed sowing is preached in Pentecostal Church is too great. People have been so brainwashed that they believe they are having a divine connection through giving to the RICH pastor!
I attended a program of one of the church and at the end of the whole thing, the Pastor came to give closing speech and imagine what he said. "I need to travel to Abuja with my wife, I can afford the flight ticket but i need somebody to be blessed through purchasing the flight ticket for me" Kia! i was so depressed and believe me people started struggling to pay for his flight ticket even those that never have entered a plane.
Christians! I believe there are better ways of sowing seed instead of going to the RICH Pastor.
Hospitals, Motherless Babies etc give the gifts to these people and God in heaven will really appreciate it more instead of giving it to a crook Pastor! Mi 2 Kobo

U guys are right&wrong. In life there is NEMESIS i.e sowing&reaping. If u do good, u'll reap good while u do bad u reap bad.Same also applys to philantrophist who reap kindness.Robbers&murderers also reap death&sorrow. If u give Willingly&not by force to any1 not only pastors,u'll reap it back.BUT now adays some of our PASTORS are too overzealous for money that make them lie to their followers.which is very true just to get fame&wealth.Yet i think its still nice to give but not by force

Its so disturbing how people fall prey to these pastors. But if people cared more about righteousness rather than "miracles"
to improve their positions, finances et al, they would see through the ploys of these fake pastors. Just like scammers, 419ners
thrive because most of their victims are blinded by their lust for quick deals and rewards they have not earned.

@Tudor   Granted there are lots of fake pastors out there who take advantage of us. These pastors are aethist like you who see the business side to christianity. That will not stop me from paying my tithe and making my offerings to the almighty. What those pastors do with it is none of my business so long as i have done my part. I can only complain and maybe those your brothers will see the light and actually change. And do you know why i do this? because i believe in God and the bible. Why do you continue to vote knowing that PDP will rig the election? You know that the rule is to vote and the exception is pdp's rigging. It is not normal. shikena
