Hey what are you people talking about.
For about two months now, my mtn has been really crappy. I connect using nokia e71 and mtn 10k 3gb.

But i just noticed that every now and again, the connection would break and i reconnect again, then thesame thing happens.

Is this just me? or has anyone else noticed this or has mtn just recently sorted out their 3g thingy???

opps, i guess the network is bad where u are. or try this. (works for me)

open your command prompt window and ping google.com -t

the -t makes the pinging continous and its unlikely your internet will disconnect

This is not HTTPS or HTTP  with universal IP's that

1.Takes time to connnect
2.are most times slow

Do we really have a good ISP in Nigeria? What we have is those that know how to legally extort money from poor subscribers.

This is just nonsense. Can you imagine. After buying a subscription with IWAY AFRICA BROADBAND, buying a satellite dish, setting up the modem, routers, and server to 4 computers in our house. The speed is limited to 25kbps and 1GB usage per month. FOR 20,000 a month

Only for me to find out that I can buy an MTN plan for 2500 naira night browsing per month with 3gb usage per month for only 2500 and when I tried it I was getting download speeds of 900+ kbps.

Can someone explain this to me.
A simple phone connected to a pc is millions of times faster than a satellite connected to a pc,  broadband connection, modem, server, etc, etc.  We've just been waisting our money. Now I have to convince family members for all of us to switch to phone and pc instead of satellite and pc.

The only problem is you can rely on the satellite, because they never have problems. When MTN has network issues or network overload you cannot connect to the net. Same thing goes for ZAIN. (its even worse for ZAIN)
