if you guys are calling this the "best song to come out of naija"
or one of naija's best songs, or the song of the decade, then NAIJA MUSIC IS WACK!!
come on, not a common simple song like this.
yes the song is hot but im annoyed by it already and its only been a month that ive been hearing it.
and i can still jam to african queen up till right now.
the song is pretty average, yo.

that song is so overated, like the singer himself. It does not top any of 2 face songs at all.

In my humble opinion o,

African Queen is a classic, period. Be it in Naija, in Africa or in America, It is one of the best love songs ever made.

Strong Ting is a Naija classic, I love it. Banky W. uses Naija slang, so we can identify with the song and it is still a strong rnb song, that is why I love Banky w. When made that 'Ebute Meta' song, I hated him but now, he has found his groove and he is a true Naija rnb singer.

Not The Girl by Darey or whatever he calls himself if the most pretentious song I have ever heard. I hate the song and the singer. If na western style rnb person wan hear, person go play timberlake or usher. The guy forget say na African people  he dey sing to, On top of dat, he come put white girl for every video, they guy na real dagbo! I hate all his songs.

Word!

Strong thing is a song that can go off the air for five years and still come back looking fresh.
I place it in the class of bubba sparxx's deliverance.
The native instrument KILLED IT!

Strong thing is a good song. The lyrics is ok but the beat or better still the production is fantastic. I, personally i prefer his song My regret than strong tin. Have we all forgotten Paul play's Forever, 2face's african queen and even currently Faze's Im in love from his new album. C.mon, these are r&b songs that will beat strong tin hands down. (it just ma opinion)

Strong thing is not even near True love, why on earth are you comparing it to AFRICAN QUEEN? Guy, if na play make u stop am oooo. Compare the lyrics of both song, I bet you will slap yourself a million times after you must have known you made a big mistake comparing them.

I don't agree with the original poster. However,i also do not support subsequent posters who kept going on about 2face's African Queen, never really liked the song anyway. There are a lot of very good nigerian songs with very sensible and well-thought-out lyrics (a good example being the entire Asa album) and African Queen just aint one of them IMHO.

You guys have spoken well. All our Nigerian artists have all done and still doing well. We need to give them the support and praise them to do more cos we want the WEST to be the best.

7 gbosa to the WEST
         &
7 gbosa to naija

To me, i like all and love some.
Amongst the listed tracks, these are my tops.

1-        2 face - African Queen
2-        Asha- Jailer
3-        Banky W - Strong thing

Banky is our strongest RnB star as i feel, but i can't compare it with African queen.
I still prefer Till my dying days than Strong thing.

Up till date, African queen knocks my head.

im already tired of Strong Ting though.
after like 2 weeks the song became irritating!
and its more western influenced than 2face and such.
but ive still been dancing and singing to african queen since 2005!
strong ting cant even compete.

African Queen and No One Like You = my favorites!

Production wise, Strong thing is on the same level with Paul
Play's forever. Lyrically you can't compare it to Forever. African
Queen is a class of it's own -uncomparable.

When strond thing fades off air, you wouldn't feel it that much
the next time you hear it. African Queen- man I no fit shout!!

Strong thing is one of the best songs 2 come out of 9ja in recent time but it being better than african queen? Common; this the kind of big name that kills a puppy.
