Installing Wordpress Blog Is Really Giving Headache

Greetings Bro in the house!

Please I need your assistance now more than ever, I was trying to install wordpress blog using fantastico on my domain cpanel but it was given some kind of gibberish message that the installation could not be completed.

Asking me to remove wp_content and some other wp_,

Please once again, I'll be looking forward for your replies.

if everything fails,  or if you do not understand what Grand masters like Yawa s saying or where to delete the matter.

try log into your Cpanel then try live chat with the customer service personel. tell  him your problem/request your help copy and paste the message for him to see.hope your host customer relation is good though.

when i was having problems instaling with fantastico, a staff actually help rectify the problem when i asked!!    simple way out though!! all da best!!

I think this is an issue for your web host to answer.  Contact your web host, not fantastico and not WP.  By the way, you don't necessarily have to use fantastico - You can go to the respective sites, download the product(s) from there and install in your account. 

As a matter of fact, you probably want to do that as you will get the latest product on your site.  Just go to the respective sites to download install documentation.  you could also copy and paste this error in google and I bet you, you will get many results back on how the cause and how to solve it (if it is within your control).

You probably clicked the action button in fantastico twice. As WebMonk has said, check your database (Click the databases link in cpanel and look any a database name ending with _wdpr1 or whatever you named in fantastico).

Secondly, check the installation path using ftp. Delete anything related with wordpress that you see and try installing again.

If problem persists, contact your support.

If they cannot solve it. Go to www.wordpress.org, download the latest version,  upload it on your webserver and follow the onscreen instructions. Personally, I prefer this method to fantastico.
