Presidency Not A Do Or Die Affair — Atiku
« on: October 12, 2009, 11:08 AM »

Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has said the presidency is no longer a do or die affair for him, hence his acceptance of the arrangement that would see him, Buhari or Bafarawa at the helm of affairs.  Atiku, according to a statement by Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, media coordinator of the former Action Congress (AC) gubernatorial candidate in Rivers State, is now committed to the reconstruction of the nation.

“Without having a forgiving spirit, I would very well have been dead by now,  To be a worthy politician, you must learn to love people no matter the challenges”, Atiku said, stressing that he joined  politics and loves politics because of his love for the people.

I
n his speech at the meeting with Atiku, the former AC candidate in Rivers State, Prince Tonye Princewill, commended the Turaki, retired General Muhammadu Buhari and Alh. Attahiru Bafurawa for their decision to forgo any form of personal political ambition to join forces to salvage Nigeria from the grip of the ruling PDP.

He said the move was admirable and timely as it was capable of restoring the tenets of democracy hitherto destroyed by the PDP in its quest to perpetuate itself in power by any means necessary, advising that it must be devoid of any self serving agenda.  Speaking on the Turaki’s relevance in the new arrangement, Princewill expressed the desire to see him at the helm of the coalition, since according to him; there is a need for Atiku to be instrumental in ousting the PDP, where he was a key player.

Same old recycled balderdash, to placate the minds of those who are bereft of using their brain to think and rationalize issues beyond the surface.

Someone should please shout: Stealing/Looting/Corruption is a Do or Die Affair in Nigeria!

What will they offer Nigerians? the mega party they are planing to set up will disintegrate immediately one of them gets the ticket. Do you expect Buhari to sit by and see Atiku win the ticket and vice-versa? they are a bunch of jokers.

The only day I will believe these guys is when they remove themselves from our faces as
possible candidates. Otherwise, its the same old story. They will fight themselves to a standstill ,
polarize the polity and leave us in the doldrums .

He's corrupt, some said he's a gay but the only thing he did that went down well was that he stopped obasanjo from becoming a life president by raising the national assembly against him, I dont really see him as a hero but he is just trying to refute obasanjo stand that "politics is a do or die affair", but he should just enjoy his loot with his family, abegi

I am surprised people have not seen through the fog . The  fact is that
OBJ wanted third term. Atiku desperately wanted a shot at the job. The
only way to do that is to stop third term. In retaliation and true to type
OBJ ensured that Atiku did not have a platform in PDP and  in the process
both of them failed to achieve their ambitions.

Other than that, there is no difference between the two of them in both
their public and private  Embarrassed Embarrassed Embarrassed Embarrassed Embarrassed Embarrassed Embarrassed Embarrassed affairs.
