Its a new american movie just out and its titled district 9 and also produced in various locations in south africa.Frm wht i have heard frm ppl who have watched this movie it mainly centers on nigerians and it portray us as cannibals and a primitive ppl who live on tree tops. The main villian in this movie is called general obasanjo and he goes about in the jungle hunting for humans as food. Its only in hollywood movies tht jesus christ would be portrayed as a whiteman with green eyes and blond hair, where englishmen would be portrayed as egyptians, and a white american man would be portrayed as the prophet muhammed and other sort of controversal movies tht they produce. As expected most americans would believe all the rubbish tht they would see in this movies and its not surprising since 95 percent of americans get their education of the outside world frm their hollywood movies. If hollywood is running out of stories then they should close shop.

OP Have you watched District 9? I don't think you have judging from what you've posted. In fact, I think you are talking about a completely different film altogether Lol wht are u talking about? The movie did portray nigerians as cannibals and its a story set during apartheid south africa and some aliens visiting tht country at tht period. But then wht i really find stupid about this movie is one showed off nigerians as a bunch of cannibals and this could explain why the nigerian federal govt had to ban the movie coming into the country. Its just the typical american trash tht american movie producers make about foreigners.

The movie is actually set in the year 2010. And the Nigerians were not hunting fellow humans in the jungle and eating them. I suggest you watch the movie first, and then post your knowledge of it. Its not an American film either. The director is South African and the producer is from New Zealand.

If this movie is innocent like u claim then why was it banned by the Nigerian govt?? PPl have said tht there scenes portraying nigerians as cannibals but then am not surprised about this since u westerners still believe every african or anyone black must be a cannibal who lives in the jungle.

It's pretty accurate.
Nigerians are the immigrant group in South Africa causing the MOST trouble. Therefore, the S. A director protrayed them as the bad guys.
In which they ARE!
get over it. Hollywood been doing it for years.

Almost every country has been portrayed badly in a film due to characters in the film. This is nonsense. Its Nigeria's turn now and we can't handle it.
And Tom 28
I'm not claiming that the movie is innocent but the plot you have mentioned is totally wrong. They weren't technically cannibals in the film. I can recall that they did not eat a fellow human in the film. Please watch the film before you post another reply, you are really beginning to annoy me now. Or do you not have any DVD players in that bush you come from??

Oh so am begining to annoy your white supremacists ass right? Non americans have been portrayed as anything but good in hollywood for a long time and this can be expected because america is filled with nothing but propaganda and a negative sterotype towards foreigners and as far as america"s view is concerned towards nigerians i think Oprah Winfrey summed it all when she said in one of her shows tht nigerians are crooks and she just as well spoke the mind of every American on the subject. But then wht am saying is tht if americans have to portray black ppl in a negative way they shouldnt be using such sterotypes tht portray blk ppl as apes and cannibals .And white woman, making a conclusion tht am unable to have any DVD player while am able to aquire the internet in my home shows how foolish u can be.Am not suprised about this though coz most whites like u already have thtnegative sterotypical believes about blks and Africa and this is why in your country they throw banana peelings at blk ppl while making monkey noises.
