visit w3schools.com and you will see a bunch of tutorials that will get your feet wet. Then give yourself an assignment to cap all you have learned on your own. After that, come back here and browse the many tutorials. Your path for learning (in this order): html, css, javascript, php (or jsp or whatever back end language you want to learn).
Tis a pity that I am yet to put my seminar together. Yep, I am procrastinating but Lord willing, it will happen some day.

Try www.pagetutor.comYou'll just feel like the guy is reaching out to you from the web page. That is what I read three years ago and I have never looked back since. Furthermore, the people who would really help you will not answer if you are asking totally noob questions. They'll prefer if you put an effort.
