I used to have this same problem, till i throw the stupid phone away and went for a sonyericsson. Samsung phones have problems with some java files.

I use j700 and .jar files work well with it, but if you haven't gotten the operamini 4.2, drop you mail add and i'll send you the download link from sharemobile, but if its okay with the rules here i'll give it here.
