yeah you are never allowed to select your players and build a team. Thos guys are too old and sort ie. all have folks propping up their names. Some guys work just or take all the work they see, just because their families are in America and need finicial supports.

But in Africa the players don't listen, their thinking is low and you have to repeat yourself over and over or they will forget."
Siasia shut up and accept you lost this time.
When you won silver medals in AYC and the olympics, the players thinking were ryt huh?
Get the mess up and dont give me that trash.
Every day aint christmas bro.

The problem with this guy is that, he has been praised and lifted above all other coaches in nigeria and he failed so he felt the team have to carry the blame. The simple fact is that, at this tournament Siasia was a first class failure. blaming the intelligence of African players is just another low for him and seriously the dude lost my respect. when he came twice runners-up in two tournaments he was happy then, now he messed up he began praising european youth teams and slading african youths, why cant he direct his anger at he organisation of nigerian football. with attitude like that, i can bet my life this dude wont go far in coaching.
Atleast he resigned honorably albeit, he blamed someone else for his stupid tactics. thanks but no thanks.

Crap! The guy should shut up and stop talking nonsense. when he won the AYC and won silver in WYC and Olympics, his players listened and were not difficult to coach but now that he has failed, the players do not listen? YEYE!
He has just shot himself in the foot because what he has just admitted is that he selected players who do not respect him and refused to play according to his instructions. It says much for ability as a coach. The guy should 'mechionu' and stop speaking from both sides of his mouth jare. Nonsense!
True talk semid4lyfe I wouldn't be so harsh on Siasia, even though i still believe he should have just accepted that he failed, simple. even the best coaches in the world don't always get the result.Sayig the guys didn't play to instruction means he was not in charge of the team.As a good coach , the no 1 attribute is DISCIPLINE. All the same, i wish Sisia the best in his coaching career.

coaching who??? Sia1 just told you that under 20 do not listen, and you want him to coach under 40 super monkeys, they will beat and kidnap him up if he tries to advise or talk to Joseph Yobo. He should go and start coaching under 17 female footballers. I am dissappointed in him

Did you say bet your life? thats too risky you know? Either you like it or not Siasia will go far and do well in coaching. The team did not do well but SIA1 is still the best coach in the country. He has at other times accepted responsibility for the flop of the team. So what are you talking about? The only problem in that team was the inability of the strikers to take their chances. We are all pained by that but remember it takes an intelligent coach to even have an approach that will beat the opponents backline and create scoring chances. Best of luck SIA1. One day you will surely coach SE its a matter of time. Haters can rot in hell.

SIASIA HAS JUST EXPOSED WHAT IS WRONG WITH OUR FOOTBALL, DULL BRAINS,SKILLS WITHOUT INTELLIGENCE. EVEN IN THE NATIONAL TEAM, WE ALL SEE THIS COST US MATCHES. UNLESS WE START GETTING PLAYERS AT VERY YOUNG AGES (YOUNG ENOUGH TO STILL RECEIVE TRAINING/LEARNINGS), WE WILL CONTINUE TO GET THE SAME RESULTS.

Based on Siasia's track record he is a very good coach that can go places not only in Africa but the world at large. This young man has the talent of a good football manager but I must say it here, he is not still ripe enough to coach a national team with complex characters like Super Eagles. Though Siasia was telling us as if he saw the fumbling and wumbling of the Ighalo-led 2009 U-20 squad by submiting that he took the coaching job of the team out of patriotism. But didn't he see it other way round that Nigerians have already set a standard"not below a runner up position" for him in any competition after his exploit at Holland 2005 U-20 and 2008 Olympic Game? Siasia failed 150 millions Nigerians this time around and thank God he accepted that and apologised. I therefore wish him best of luck in his next line of action.
As for our senior national team, a coach in the calibre of Fabio Cappello, Aragones, Louis van Gaal,Roberto Mancini and Guus Hiddink is what we need right now. And I see Siasia and Equavoen as Nigeria future coaches that can hold their places among other notable coaches in the world in the nearest future if only they can really sharpen and develop the talents abound in them, and also be humble enoguh to learn the complex tactics of football from any of those world class listed above.
This can only work well in a well structure football administration in Nigeria. People like Okocha, Taribo, Mutiu, Amunike, Oliseh, Akpoborie, Ikpeba, Rufai,Okechukwu, Fashanu and host of other well grounded ex-footballers should stop criticising the present football administrators in Nigeria and push harder (or even buy their ways afterall they are also wealthy) to the helm of affairs at NFF, if they truely patriotic and have the interest of 150 million Nigerians at heart so as to safe our football from total collapse. It's already on the verge of been no force to reckon with in African circle not to talk of world. Imagine a country that was rated 5th in the world football in 1994.Fifteen years after we found ourselves in this kind mess.
Youth system should be paid much attention to so as to have good graduation system among our national teams from the cadet level(U-17) through U-20, then U-23 and then to the senior national team. Can't we learn from Spain, Holland, Brazil and even Ghana? Must we wait for MRI test ?. May God help us oh!

Professionalism my ass! I repeat Siasia is a FAILURE and he's making matters worse by saying THE PLAYERS HE SELECTED were uncoachable & refused to listen to his instructions. Shey na me select the players for am ni? The guy should just keep quiet and stop yarning dust jare. I'm beginning to doubt his coaching credentials sef after all na only 2 2nd place be em best achievement and when did that start counting for anything in this world? Brazil will never celebrate a 2nd place finish in any football competition but my dear 9ja is a country that celebrates mediocrity. Shioor! He should come and tell me why he kept only one defender behind and why that 'midget' Rabiu Ibrahim went forward to nod during the corner kick that resulted in germany's 3rd goal? Not only that, rabiu was always going forward to nod for all corners when he's short and doesn't have a great leap. Na to dey pose with Ralph Lauren shirt dey do fine boy em sabi. Nonsense and Ingredients!

Of course he admitted his wrong. Siasia just fell out of luck this time. You will some, lose some and he lost. Too bad that Nigerians don't appreciate his efforts. Let the guy take out time to clear his head then bounce back to action.

I understand he wants to leave but he shouldn't say he has "failed". That's so unprofessional. A man has failed and he admitted, you guys are still tongue lashing him. To me, i'm hearing this for first time. Nigerians! You guys like to be deceived alot!

Samsom Siasia is a coach for any level of team anytime anyplace and any competition. All who watch the Nigerian matches at the last U-20 Championship, would c how the guy was shouting to the players to arrange themselves on the field well and block lapse, pass correct ball. After the first match, the coach in his analysis stated that the players failed to play to instructions, hence they lost. You can c d techicality of Samson Matches. But the players were a let down . They messed up teir chances, take unnecessary shots and failed seveally to hold the mid-field in all their matches. A coach will show you the way, it i now left for the players to be cohesive and pull synergy

Thank God he has come to this realization, albeit somewhat late in the day. His mates Klinsman etc began coaching the senior side long ago. But it's not too late. I believe that he is a good coach, his last outing not withstanding. Let him take over the Eagles whether they qualify for the World Cup or not.
