hello i want to know if anyone in the house gained an admission this year into any Uni (here or yonder). it's a thing of joy so tell us the school, course, how you felt, etc. as for me, my name came out on the Absu merit list for my dream course (English & lit). how about you?

Why cant they solve this admissions problem out once and for all
what is the main porblem anyway? Is it the number of places available or incompetent clearing officers
And students that pass their exams but cant get a place should be given priority the following year!
the should remove the bottlenecks that make students bribe lecturers to get a place at university!

yeah i got admission into UNN to my favourite course,philosophy.after my degree,i shall proceed to NDA(nigerian defense academy).then join the army and still read my masters.then after some yrs in the army,start running a mercenary that will wipe out all these corrupt politicians that are causing nigerians pains.that is my destiny.may god be with me till then and after then.AMEN

But when did studing English and Literature become a dream course? It used to be "King Pharoah let my people enter school' kind of course, I mean usually reserved for the 'not do wells' after other better courses had been filled. |

Ahn ahn nau. . can't someone like to study English & Lit? Maybe he wants to be an English prof in future. Personally, I would never want to do such a course. I don't like all that Shakespear stuff, and whatever else people read on that course. It's never ending, with lots of coursework to do, and all that readin . . .EURRGGHH. But yeah, it's not meant for everyone. Congrats poster. You must be thrilled, esp after writing 4 JAMBS. It aint easy. |

i'm the most favoured one this year. i came first in the merit list of ED/economics in alvan ikoku fed college of education,owerri,imo state. the amazing thing there is that i'm from anambra so i thought there were goin to do some tribal stuff bt it was'nt so. thank God.

You missed a key point. English and Literature became his dream course after 4 atempts at Jamb. He claims 226 is his lowest score in Jamb so far. I doubt he chose English and Literature the previous 3 times otherwise he would have been admitted. |

What can one do with English and Literature in Nigeria? Even one can't do much with that major abroad talkless of in Nigeria. Same goes to Philosophy. I hope these are pre-majors but then again Nigeria doesn't do a 4 year pre-major. Anyway, to each his own.
Chai I see JAMB is still screwing up students, I wonder why they give JAMB this so much power. JAMB should be a successful entrance to University not the hindrance.
Anyway, good luck to some of you still waiting for your admission and congrats to those who already got admission.
