From this abode Surrounded by stagnant waters, With anopheles whispering Irritating lyrics into my eardrums, From this observatory, At this hour That moonlight descends, When sleep caress bodies Of men and women Imbued with morality, I see Enforcers of law In noisy bargain For exchange of weaponry With law breakers. Even scribblers Who wear garbs of piety In daytime Like pretentious prophets I can see Delivering instruments of blackmail In exchange for Currency filled envelopes.
