Player dropped for failing age test in Eaglets' final list

The chief coach of the Golden Eaglets, John Obuh, is courting another controversy ahead of Nigeria’s U-17 World Cup campaign after including a player suspected to have failed age test in his final squad for the competition. Deji Joel was one of the 15 players who were dropped from the Eaglets after the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scan was conducted in August. But the player was surprisingly included in the final squad of 21 released by the
Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) last Thursday, after the Eaglets’ training tour of Qatar.

everything about the u-17 world cup is a scam right from the preparation to the team,i heard the U-21 games in Egypt held recently doesnt even cost as much as the money being budgeted for the U-17 games holding in nigeria.

Nothing surprises me again in this country, USA and some intnal bodies says the Abuja stadium was a scam, that they will build anoda one of better quality at lesser cost than what Julius berger did.

All the broadcasting equipments, stadium facilities used during COJA and all the previous tournament are no where to be found( nations cup 2000, nigeria 99).

What most countries do when hosting is to upgrade exixting facilities, we go about wasting taxpayers money on procuring new stuff that will soon be stolen and left to rot away.

When they came up with a huge figure, Yar Adua said we were no more hosting and they did the biggest accounting magic of all time by cutting the hosting budget by over 300%.

Its nothing but scam scam scam scam all the way.

I am sure some millionaires have emerged and will still emerge from this U-17 stuff.

God bless Nigeria

Why are you guys in a hurry, FIFA said they will coduct their own test, so lets wait for FIFA; who know? it might even be the European that will fail the test. I heard that the Eaglet conducted another test is Qatar and it was successfull, so lets wait for FIFA they have the final say concerning the eligibility of who should and who shouldn't. Let us begin to think positive about our country
