Most of Surgery's are free, they are charity cases and national hospital and some Nigerian surgeons do pro bono services for indigent kids. What we pay for is the hospital admission and cost for drugs especially drugs we need to buy outside the hospital. So even if Drs without borders come, the kids will still need some assistance, besides, most of our Drs here are awake to thier social responsibilities

Did you read my story about Benjamin? As much as we ve many bad stories, I can tell you most of the Drs i work with handling kids cases do the surgeries free, yeh Nigerian Drs. As for the gunshot thing, its not their fault you need to see that way police harrass them for treating gunshot victims. In benjamins case, a Dr saw hi raoming the street with cancer begging and took him to the hospital, gathered a few friends and paid half of the amount needed for his treatment, we paid the rest, today benjamin is cancer free, see the thread on Benjamin, read all of it. As much as we condemn lets commend when they do right
