true. nollywood isnt that great i can just relate to it more because im a nigerian. nollywood is fun for me cause i can relate. bollywood on the other hand i cant relate to those people and neither do their movies interest me at all. ive seen maybe 3 movies, never again! and i dont like how their industry operates on a biased level. i refuse to support such rubbish. lol |

i feel for this world!!!!!!!!!! WHY?  this was probably never even thought of until whites started parading around their "standard" of beauty showing the world blond hair, pale skin, and blue eyes as the symbol of beauty. many places now wishing they could look like that to be called beautiful. even in asian countries you have people getting their eye lids done or dying their hair certain colors trying to look white. can you believe (i think its japan) that you have to have a western look or a "not so asian look" to be on TV? how fucked up is that?TSK TSK TSK i don tire oooo. including Korea and Philippines , thats all you see on their TV shows, western looking actorsvery soon Nollywood will start that trend, what a shame  |

About the color thing, thats why i only respect 3 people in this world, Nigerians, Black Americans, and Jamaicans, they dont buy the white man bullshit, matter of fact most blk americans i know think that white skin is inferior, and ages badly,
Most sensible Nigerians will never marry a white lady, and most jamaicans i roll with still dream of selasie.Africa, and getting an african queen,
However i dont see that color shit creeping into Nollywood, Nigerians are too special for that crap, besides we naturally do have diverse skin tone in naija, from fulani, to light skin calabar/igbo chicks to dark skin hausa chicks,,no one cares, personally i likes me a black hausa looking, or sexi dark south east girl anyday,

Jamaicans and the West Indies still feel oppressed by what happened 400 years ago; Black Americans are filled with excuses and Nigerians? We have a choice to make; follow the Jamaica and Black American way i.e. blame everybody except our selves or follow the Asian route copy the western world. Agree the Indians have preferred certain type of skin colour in their movies because they want to attract a certain market but we Africans never complained throughout the 70’s or 80’s because those were our heroes then, No one could name a dark skinned bollywood actor or actress? But do you blame them? Its reality Hollywood used to be Blonde or nothing! I could remember a Miss universe in the 80’s when only the contestants with blonde hair got to the next round. We might crow like a canary from now to the next millennium, but if they tell a Nollywood producer that to break into the American market they need to use more lighter skinned actresses, it would be like a tsunami when the changes takes place! And about marrying a Caucasian, what's wrong with that? A rap CD is being bought mostly by Caucasian. |
