Network Sharing

Can anybody help me out on how to share connection between two laptops using dial up. I have been trying to do that but i dont know how to go about that. I will be grateful to read from you guys.

for you to share a dial up connection for your LAN, right click the connection, assuming is visa phone, click properties and go to advanced, the tick allow other computers to connect through this network,

@ collin465, i have done that before but it didnt work.

Check the firewall on your antivirus, disable it and try to reconnect. post what happens

@poster
are u using lan switch for the connection if yes do it this way.
the laptop that you connected the modem configure it this way

IP ADDRESSS= 192.168.0.1
SUBNET MASK= 255.255.255.0
DEFAULT GATEWAY =192.168.0.1

OK CLOSE

now open the next lappy u want share it to
click obtain IP ADDRESS AUTOMATIC
Click ok and close

now you can now apply this instruction collins suggested to you.

sorry it seems i dont understand you,
please i will like you to explain it more what you really want to do.
i want to know if what you want is how to share files on the two computers or how to connect the two computer to browse using one modem.

please tell me what to do and resources needed. I have a starcomms izap moderm (USB) for my laptop ( window vista )and i want to share the internet network with three desktops with window XP( via wired network)
