New African Blogging Platform: What Do You Think About This ?

Happy new year 2007 first.

I and some friends have recently launch a blogging platform for African people, which is at http://www.akopo.com

I figure out that there is a lot of African blogs, but they are spread on many platform. So, it is really difficult to know some basic information about them (numbers, most topics, most countries represented, the best blogs, etc.). Any kind of contest (on template, or plugins) would be difficult to set up because of the wide diversity of blogging platform where African blogs are hosted.
