Hogwash ! Why must people always try to pour san' san' for our garri ? Teams do that all the time. If you qualify for the next round after two matches, you play it safe at the 3rd match (unless you really, really want to top the group). No point in risking injury to your best players. Nigeria did that in France '98. After qualifying for the 2nd round of the senior World Cup, we played it safe and lost 1 - 3 to Paraguay at the last group match. If we meet Argentina again, the result may not be the same or it may be. |
