Let's remember, Argentina was already through to the next round having gained 6 points from 2 matches. So they rested 5 players from their first eleven (at least that's what the commentator said).

No. I think they thought they could beat us with their reserve team or at least get a draw. If you watched the first half, you could see they really wanted a draw.

Teams do that all the time. If you qualify for the next round after two matches, you play it safe at the 3rd match (unless you really, really want to top the group). No point in risking injury to your best players. Nigeria did that in France '98. After qualifying for the 2nd round of the senior World Cup, we played it safe and lost 1 - 3 to Paraguay at the last group match.

If we meet Argentina again, the result may not be the same or it may be.

At least for once, be a patriot.

TB Joshua

Emmmanuel!!
Emmanuel!!!

Pastor TB (may he live long and may he never have erectile dysfunction) predicted this. He predicted Naija will have two because he shouted Emmanuel twice.

Pastor TB is thus responsible for Naija going this far

Considering that this is a hurriedly assembled team, many Nairalanders did not give them a chance of making progress. Surprise, let it keep coming. Up Nigeria.

nahh, i don't hate and i don't smoke. It's just that i don't like this penalty.

This boys have problem with scoring. Maybe they need someone to teach them  Grin

See the chances they wasted.  Look at that guy that faced the net while keeper was lying, he played it over the net. hun?

Did you listen to brilla this morning?

There might not be penalty for them in the next match.

Make them score goal and leave penalty, please.
