Any Tips On Maintaining Pick And Drop Braiding?!?!?
« on: October 29, 2009, 12:56 PM »

Hi girls!
Just discovered this site, its fantastic!
I was wondering how to maintain pick and drop, I usually use Milky Way (2packs costing £50) and I find it loses its silkiness after a week.
The regrowth is also an issue as the braids themselves start to look messy after a couple of weeks.
I was also advised against washing it as the braids will fall out so I find myself paying £50 for hair and £50 for labour for just one month.
It'll be nice to hear your opinions.
xx

Pick and drop? Hmn, do you still have your front hair in place? That hairstyle cuts the front hair like mad!

AND I DONT THINK YOU CAN WEAR THAT HAIRSTYLE FOR MORE THAN A MONTH.

@ Nezed, amazingly, my front hair is in place, I've been doing pick and drop for about a year now, I've probably done in about 8 times, what cuts my front hair is weave-on, the weight of the weave on my hair thins it, I guesshuman hair is lighter for pick and drop

What hairstyles do you do, I'm stuck in a rut, any ideas will do!

i dont think pick and drop lasts.done it like twice and i ended up loosing some of my front hair which took me months to get back.though the style is very nice but u see that as ure brushing it,d attachment is breaking.wts in vogue now is indian curl, its a weaveon,d curly type.dey braid de front part and fix de rest.its so luvly.

There is nothing to maintain. Once they get old; take it out! I loathe seeing women with way over due braids. Bugs the hell outta me!
