I have tried to stay out of this but it is enough. Anyone knocking Mode nine has no place in any dialogue about hip hop in Nigeria or Africa.
He stuck to his guns and paved a path for a Genre that only a handful of people gave a mess about when he started doing it.
Lyrically he is on point. Delivery is great. If one more person mentions “metaphors” in a hip hop discussion I swear i’m going to shoot myself.
Hip hop has little to nothing to do with metaphors. Thanks to Lil wayne anyone that can put the word “like” between two phrases is now a rapper or lyricist.
Mode Nine is the bizness! Sometimes I feel the Genre should be split into fragments so people can have their so called “hiphop” but call it something else…baggars!

What I don't understand is why this Mode 9 haters are comparing or even turning M.I. against Mode9 (No longer Ruggedman, cuz he has shut him up for good.). Thinking that life is about making money or Hip-Hop is about popularity.
If you guys don't like Hip-Hop in its pure form as mode 9 is doing it while don't you just say that rather than hating on 9.
Like the comment about KRS-One; He (KRS-One) even said on a song that he is a rapper that has not won a grammy (which is true) and last year he celebrated his 20th year in the industry as a rapper and he is not even on the top 100 list of the richest artiste.
