Don't mind him.No paddy for jungle here. If you know any Nigerian who is into that thing, report them asap. That will make potential ones become afraid because they don't know who to trust anymore. Harboring them will do nobody any good including the criminals themselves, the sooner they start their jail terms, the better for them.
Don't be soo foolish. "They won't know who to trust anymore" do you think these people are stupid ? Yes, they do this out of greed but when they "agbarin ja" ooo ga ni too-toh

YOU MAD COWS have started again. Who didn't know that Niyi Adeyemi was involved in FRAUD. But someone with common sense knows that everyday for the thief one day for the owner. I would rather Omisore get "149-count indictment" than get 2 years in Jail and out again for swiping my card. Any human being who does anything ILLEGAL will NEVER get away with it. Thieves get GREEDY and will always get caught. If someone had reported NIYI way earlier, 1. the authorities probably will never have as much evidence as they have now, <TRUST ME WHEN I SAY THE BOY IS SMART AND BRILLIANT> So pls, just let it be and BE WISE. KNOW THE LAW, there NEEDS to be TANGIBLE AND SIGNIFICANT evidence to declare someone "guilty as charged beyond a reasonable doubt" If the bank knows who swiped the card, and they never apprehended him how is that my problem ?

Actually this is a better website http://manhattanda.org/whatsnew/press/2009-10-28.shtmlManhattan District Attorney Robert M. Morgenthau announced today a 149-count indictment of a computer technician for stealing the identities of more than 150 employees of the Bank of New York Mellon and using these identities to orchestrate more than $1.1 million in thefts against charities and non-profits, among other institutions.
The defendant ADENIYI ADEYEMI, 27, of Brooklyn, has been indicted on charges of grand larceny, identity theft, money laundering, scheme to defraud, computer tampering, and unlawful possession of personal identification information. The crimes charged in the indictment occurred between November 1, 2001 and April 30, 2009.

My Bad, I just saw the NOt. I just find it appalling that some people KNEW of this guys many antics and never though to report him before he got access to people's identities and their money in the end. I have been a victim myself and I know how disgusting it is to work hard only for some nincompoop from a cursed upbringing, you may never meet or know, steals it all from you.

Stop ASSUMING. He stole on these IDENTITIES ON HIS OWN BEFORE HE MET SOME PEOPLE. I didn't meet him until 2008. Investigation shows that he has been stealing since 2001 age 19.

Thieves get GREEDY and will always get caught. Is this also the attitude you take when it comes to dealing with the corruption issue in Nigeria? I don’t know of a Niyi Adeyemi, but be sure that if I did know he was a thief, I would have tipped the cops off a long time ago. You sit complaining with others of how things are bad but when an opportunity to cause change lands right in your lap, with you as the victim, you immediately SWEAR it is not your place to do anything about the situation, and like many Nigerians, leave it to FATE to get them caught. Do you realize how insane that is? If someone had reported NIYI way earlier, 1. the authorities probably will never have as much evidence as they have now, <TRUST ME WHEN I SAY THE BOY IS SMART AND BRILLIANT> So pls, just let it be and BE WISE. KNOW THE LAW, there NEEDS to be TANGIBLE AND SIGNIFICANT evidence to declare someone "guilty as charged beyond a reasonable doubt" If the bank knows who swiped the card, and they never apprehended him how is that my problem ? As much evidence? If someone had reported him earlier, he would have probably NEVER been given access to the information he did to obtain all the information he needed for this heist. The record alone would cause companies to think twice when hiring him and that would have saved lots of people, especially his coworkers the heartache that they are probably dealing with now. Imagine going to work, and one day realizing you are NOT SAFE even where you work. Do you think that is a good feeling? Worse, do you think that same bank would want to hire a Nigerian for the same position without subjecting him/her to ridiculous scrutiny and probably no trust at all.

Woman Arrested in 'Nigerian Scam'Updated: Thursday, 29 Oct 2009, 12:22 PM CDT Published : Thursday, 29 Oct 2009, 12:12 PM CDT HOUSTON - The Houston Police Department says it has put an end to an international counterfeit check operation. The crime began when a woman who lived in northwest Harris County posted a resume online. Police say that was all some Nigerian scam artists needed to reel her right in. Investigators say the Nigerians hired Margaret Montogomery to work from home and all she had to do was receive boxes of blank checks and then fill them out before sending them to people on a list provided to her.Police say the checks were fake and would be filled out for more than the victim was owed. When the victims pointed this out to the Nigerians, the scam artists told them to deposit it anyway and send them the difference. Police say that Montgomery sent out at least $1.5 million in checks this way and probably knew that she was involved in a scam. The Houston Police Department say the arrests are a reminder that if something sounds to good to be true, it probably is and that includes some job offers. Police believe that Montgomery was innocent initially, but would go on to participate in this scam for a year. As of Wednesday night, Montgomery remained in jail. http://www.myfoxhouston.com/dpp/news/local/091029_margaret_montgomery_nigerian_scam_arrest
